Guest guest
Dixie, I wouldn't put anything past terrorists, but I think it is far, far more likely that as a society, we have done this to ourselves with the onslaught of the technological age we are in now. Viruses can jump on a jet in Taiwan and in 24 hours infect someone on the other side of the world. Here's a snip from a study initiated by the United Nations (called the " The Millennium Ecosystem Assessment) drawn up by 1,300 researchers from 95 nations over four years. " The report says the way society obtains its resources has caused irreversible changes that are degrading the natural processes that support life on Earth. " One of the findings in the " Millennium Ecosystem Assessment " is that the ecosystems of the world have changed more rapidly in the last 50 years than at any other point before human history. One more thought... the first thing terrorists usually do after an " attack " is claim responsibility. Scaring us is a big part of their tactic. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think it's them we need to worry about in regards to . Maybe we are our own worst enemies after all. Guest guest
Why is this happening to our kids I think is what Dixie is asking: The planet is filthy! The worst state ever. Did you know that the EPA issued a report two weeks ago, stating that every single river and lake in the United States have tested positive for toxic pollutants? And also they stated all of the fish in the rivers and lakes also (ofcourse!) are contaminated. We are humans, just like the fish that live in a polluted environment and are contaminated, we live in a filthy planet, our offspring are adversely affected! We are all eating genetically modified foods, our animal stuffs are fed grains that are genetically modified, and the animals too are fed antibiotics. The lakes, rivers and oceans are filled with mercury and other toxins, the fish is contaminated. We are injecting all of these immunizations into our little babies....everything from Hep B (at the moment of birth for those guys born in the 90's) to the chicken pox....this is too crazy!!! We need to start drinking filtered water, organic foods, and eat meat sources that are not fed grains. This is really why we have such sick kids. Look at the number of kids with Asthma, its going through the roof! Same with autism....number of adults suffering with CFS.....And it is only going to get worse. Look at China....they have industrial pollutants, they just dig a hole and throw it in the ground.....it all comes back into the air and into the water.... Terrorists are not the problem, its corporate greed....it has destroyed the planet, the animals and the humans that reside here. We all need to wake up. We need to make sure the next guy sitting in the white house is friendly to the environment.
