Guest guest
Has anyone been able to conduct a neuroSPECT scan yet with the Brain Matters group? At last week's Tue telephone consult, Dr G suggested we have a scan done when we visit him in June. Things are really going along nicely with - I guess Dr G wants to see what changes have occured since last year. I got a number from the office, which turned out to be the anwering service for Brain Matters. They didn't have the 'actual' number to call - I would have to visit the website for the number. <sigh> ok - already poor customer relations ... So I get the number off of the site and call. I introduce myself, tell them I'm calling from land and that my son is a patient of Dr Goldberg. We've been there before numerous times to see Ms Carmen. We're coming out in June and Dr G has recommended a scan. is an established patient - he's had numerous scans there before. 'Sorry, but we can't connect you with them. They're very busy now because of the Dr Phil show. But I'll have someone get back to you by Tues'. Nothing ... So I call today and am given the same speech. <sigh> I know Dr Goldberg has mentioned side saddling clinics with the BrainMatters locations - I certainly hope he keeps the staff separate because this is not boding well for future relations. Guest guest
That's too bad that their customer relations is so bad. I would just keep trying. If you leave enough messages, I'm sure they will call you back. Dr. G also mentioned being able to take the neurospects done and run them thru Dr. Mena and Dr. 's neurospects and have them consult on them. He said he should be able to do that in about 6 mos., which is exciting. We have had our spects done with Dr. Uzler in the past, which has worked out well. So is Carmen no longer doing the spects there? --- Doris and Steve <sjsmith@...> wrote: > Has anyone been able to conduct a neuroSPECT scan > yet with the Brain > Matters group? > At last week's Tue telephone consult, Dr G > suggested we have a scan > done when we visit > him in June. Guest guest
Dr. Goldberg's patients have a special in to Brain Matters. Just get Laurie to schedule the appointment through the office. The Dr. Phil show made people realize that there just might be a brain problem causing their problems and if so they could be treated. So now many what to know if there is a physical basis for their dysfunction. Again just get Laurie to help. Sorry Dorris ... Elyse Goldberg > > That's terrible Doris !! Guest guest
Doris and all - I think Brain Matters just didn't expect the response that they got. They're just overwhelmed. Have you tried calling Narod in Denver? If you leave her a voice-mail message, she should get back to you soon, especially if you say your son is a pt. of Dr. G's. She coordinated the whole thing with the Brain Matters office in Torrance. Her direct number is (303) 665-0871. Good luck! just had a scan done last Friday. Carmen is still there. Guest guest
Oh, that's right. I forgot about this. Definitely let Laurie do the legwork for you. Donna > > > > That's terrible Doris !! Guest guest
Hey Mrs G ! Laurie did say she would fax the prescription in and I was to call the number she gave me 'the next day' to schedule an appt. I did and the number was their answering service who told me I had the wrong number. I was directed to the website for the number to call. Yes I explained who I was, where I was calling from, who the prescribing Doctor was and that we were established patients having had at least 2 scans done with Carmen. Dr G did indicate that they've had problems with them. I'd rather not see the other Dr. I've heard some odd things about him and we've always had an enjoyable experience with Carmen. I'll bug Laurie again - she enjoys the attention :-) :-) :-) doris > > > > > > That's terrible Doris !! Keep us posted as > > > to how you make out. Guest guest
Hi, Doris! You've heard odd things about Dr. Uszler? We have had very good experiences with him. He sat down with us, before and after the spects, and was very nice about answering questions, etc. Just thought I'd tell you some positives about him. I can't say any negatives, to tell the truth. Guest guest
Well that's great that Carmen is still there.. did she actually do the scans - I do hope so. By the way, has the price changed? We paid $US930 in both Jan 2002 and April 2005 - this was the price for people paying direct (used an international credit card) I think it was a bit more if through an insurer.
