A new study edited by Dr. Biron, professor of molecular

microbiology & immunology, shows that many autistic children harbor a

certain bacteria in their digestive tract that non-autistic children do

not have. Further study is needed to determine if this difference is a

cause or effect of autism and what role it plays in this developmental

disorder.
