Guest guest
It's not clear to me whether the formulation of the tablet itself is what allows for slow dispersal of the melatonin. I am working with a three year old little boy with autism whose sleep is quite disturbed. His MD has him on 3mg of melatonin each night, delivered as a liquid, but the effects seem to be waning rapidly after three months, and he is waking between 2AM and 3AM and staying up. Naturally, his single mother, who works, is exhausted. My suspicion is that the melatonin dose needs to be spread out through the night, but I don't want to suggest timed release if it can only be done as a tablet. A capsule that can be opened might work. Any suggestions? Thank you! Carla, mom to Aidan
Guest guest
I would add 50 mg of 5-HTP. I know of no time release method other than a tablet that slowly dissolves and lasts throughout the night. http://lightparty.com/Health/5-HTP.html Joyce www.chicosespeciales.com > It's not clear to me whether the formulation of the tablet itself is what > allows for slow dispersal of the melatonin. > > I am working with a three year old little boy with autism whose sleep is > quite disturbed.
