Guest guest
My son took augmentin for 10 days following a cat bite that got infected about a month ago. His behavior has really declined since - he is more withdrawn and gets upset very easily. He is now having meltdowns at school. He says that he feels upset and down. I've read that augmentin can raise blood ammonia, so I'm wondering if that's the cause, or if it caused some gut bug flareup. Any advice would be welcomed. Guest guest
That is probably candida. You need to give him antifungals and probiotics (100 billion IUs +). > My son took augmentin for 10 days following a cat bite that got infected > about a month ago. Guest guest
I've never seen such a behavior change with yeast. It's more reminiscent of clostridia. > > > My son took augmentin for 10 days following a cat bite that got infected > > about a month ago. Guest guest
He was taking an antibacterial...and I have seen so many and different reactions to yeast that it is worth a try..anyway probiotics will help with both and there are natural antifungals that she can try if she does not have a DAN! doctor. > I've never seen such a behavior change with yeast.
