Guest guest
Is this a test that Dr. G normally runs? We see him on Jan. 31st for the first time. I just received the results of an Organics Acid Test run by Noah's peds gastro back in August, and I find the whole thing rather confusing. Specifically, Noah shows high levels of 2-oxoglutaric (alpha ketoglutaric acid), 3- hydoxysobutyric, 3-hydroxypropionic, and some others that were mildly elevated. Under amino acides, he was extremely high in alanine and very low in tryptophan. Does anyone have a resource that I can use to make sense of this stuff? Under " Interpretation, " all it says is that the pattern of the results is not indicative of an inherited metabolic disorder. But what about other issues with the metabolism? Seems to me that more than 5 times the level of 2-oxoglutaric in your system might throw something out of whack, especially when low levels are associated with a decrease in autistic symptoms. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. TIA, Robyn
