Is the CDC taking a small first step away from a " one-size-fits-all "

vaccination policy? (1) Data from a survey of vaccinated vs

unvaccinated are available (2). An increasingly frustrated Dan Olmsted

considers autism and various diseases among Amish (3).

As I read segments of the Chicago Tribune's excellent series about flame

retardants (4), I couldn't help but think that similar distortions of

science - on behalf of marketing - occur in many other fields. P.

A. Ioannidis' 2005 paper sheds light on " wiggle room " in published

studies (5). Nonetheless, seemingly sane science continues to have

worthy moments (6).
