Guest guest
OK guys! I need to pick your collective brains again. St. Helens Farm online has goat cheese that can be ordered. However, when the company was e-mailed, the reply was that cows' milk contains 4 types of casein: alpha s1 casein, alpha s2 casein, beta casein, and kappa casein. The goat cheese contains a little of the alpha s1 casein. Should we try this or not with my EXTREMELY sensitive kids? ARGHHHHH!!!!!! Guest guest
I wouldn't. We used Woolwich Dairy. We get it at Whole Foods but if you don't have one, you might try to find a wine and cheese store in your area to see if they can order it. Or your local HFS. I'm not sure if anyone sells it online. Guest guest
Shona, I don¹t how to advise you on that but did want to remind you to make sure the cheese is pasteurized. I know Dr. G will say ³No.² if it¹s not. Have your kids been food-screened and how did goat milk look? Our son tested fine for goat milk but after being on it for a couple of years, Dr. G re-screened him and goat milk then came back as reactive so we had to cut it out.
