Guest guest
We had the spect scan done by Dr. Uszler (who is a preferred provider). They no longer bill insurance because most of the time, spects aren't covered. I'm glad to hear that BCBS paid out. I'll have to contact Dr. G's office and get the appropriate code. Was your child put out for the procedure? Thanks! Doris and Steve <sjsmith@...> wrote: We also have BCBS Fed and have never had a problem. When the SPECTs were done via UCLA nuclear med, we might've paid $200. With Brain Matters, we paid about $1500. Both UCLA and Brain Matters submitted the bills for us so I don't know what codes were used. But I suspect something with Encepha(something).. doris -maryland Posted by: " Robyn " rngcoggs@... <mailto:rngcoggs@...?Subject=%20Re%3ANeurospect%20scan> bzboysmom <bzboysmom> Mon Mar 10, 2008 3:18 pm (PDT) We have the federal Blue Cross/Blue Shield plan and I submitted the charges for Noah's neurospect scan. I received paperwork back from the insurance company asking for a diagnostic code for the anesthesia services and a procedure code for the neurospect scan. Anybody have any suggestions?
