Guest guest
Hi Angie, You might start learning by reading the messages from this link. /files/ANDY_INDEX In my opinion it's the best/easiest way to " digest " all these information slowly, in your own rhythm. I'm sure you will soon meet parents that chelate children MUCH older than yours, with good results. Also... there are a lot of parents who chelate (me for example, with some amazing changes). So I guess you're in the right place Good luck and please don't hesitate to ask any kind of question you have, no matter how dumb *you think* it sounds Valentina > Hi Everyone, > > I'm new to this group but not to autism. Does this stay in their systems for awhile? some people apparently can detox mercury pretty well on their own. for those of us who cannot, it stays in the body a LONG LONG time. if you have no continuing exposure, I've read that the body organs will clear out mercury in about 3 to 5 years. the brain is the real problem. the half-life of mercury in brain is --um-- I think I've read 30 years and 50 years. shall we say " a very long time " . and that is the HALF life. >I'm looking for any advice that you have to offer as well as any books. We simply cannot do the testing for metals right now because my husband has been out of work for a month and we need to save everything possible until he finds something else. Okay, well, I'll save the advice on hair testing then. Books: Dr. Cave: What Your Doctor May NOT Tell You About Children's Vaccinations Dr. E. Forgive me for mentioning mine, described at http://hometown.aol.com/noamalgam. Some list members have found it helpful. >We simply cannot do the testing for metals right now because my husband has been out of work for a month and we need to save everything possible until he finds something else. The most useful test is the Doctor's Data " hair element profile. " It is $42 or so US if you pay in advance. It does require some doc to sign the order. Often a non-MD kind of doctor is good enough. They just need a health care license. > > [Non-text portions of this message have
Guest guest
My name is Allyson, and my step son has Asperger's Syndrome. He's 17, in Grade 11 at school, and currently struggling (he was doing *really* well until this year). For the past five years, he's seemed to be improving, vastly, and we've been so proud of him. He has kept his grades up, participated (voluntarily!) in creating an after-school social group, and made some friends (very difficult for him). He is also fairly popular at school as a work partner and aquaintance, although he doesn't have many close friends. Then, this year, it seems like he's suddenly begun to regress. His grades dropped, he's taken on behaviors from years ago, and some of the symptoms he had successfully reduced have become prominent again. Has anyone else experienced this? Are we moving backwards? Is he just going through a phase? Hi all... While #1Son isn't my bio son, he's very much a loveable kid, and I love him as my own flesh and blood. I hope this is an okay introduction! Please feel free to ask questions - I respond better to being grilled, than to writing a cold intro.
