Guest guest
Hey - There is no way to tell in general. We can sometimes tell by mommy's 6th sense - often the return of behaviors that improved a lot when antifungals were just started. Average lasting on Nizoral is 6 months (occasionally longer), average on Diflucan, 1 year (mine stop at 9 months). I don't think that there is necessarily an extraordinary amount of yeast for behaviors to return. I think we have strong immune reactions to even small amounts. I also think a lot of improvement that we see when we start antifungals are also from some of the endocrine and immune effects that they have aside from just treating yeast. If in doubt about yeast, cut back some on the carbs and sugars, and make sure the probiotics are being used regular, even bump them up if it's ok w/Dr G and if there is room for it. Sometimes that alone can help resolve a problem.
