Guest guest
Hi, Guys, I must have missed the beginning of the discussion of all meeting together at some point. By reading this, I am assuming that somewhere in Ohio is the meeting place. It just so happens I will be going to Ohio in June for my second five day clindamycine round, or thereabout. If this is viable, I will schedule my trip around when everyone is making plans to be there. Do I have this right??? Oh, Boy! I can't wait! I don't know if there is a thread for this or not. I just suggested this yesterday offhand as I was drewling over some of the recipes of the listers. I certainly would be interested in meeting everyone and would be able to be flexible enough (for the most part) to come whenever it was convenient for everybody else. I'm in the Dallas area (Denton actually) but I do have an event scheduled for the first weekend in June. I believe it is the weekend of the 3rd and 4th. If somebody wants to take the initiative to try to plan somthing like this, please keep me posted. hope everybody is pain-free and happy today....I am : ) Steve

Guest guest
Does anyone have a good recipe for goat's milk ice cream? Sounds horrible to me, but I'm desperately searching for something for the kids. TIA, Shona
Guest guest
Hi Shona, I don't know if anyone else has answered this as I have just returned from vacation and am swamped with emails. I do have a recipe for goat milk icecream. Because goat milk is so lean (not creamy as cow milk) you have to make more of a goat milk frozen custard. First you cook the ingredients on the stove until it thickens just enough to coat the spoon. Then you chill it overnight. Then the mixture is ready to go into a regular icrecream maker according to its instructions. We haven't played around alot with flavors, but I can tell you that adding some cinnamon hides the " goaty " taste and is soooo good. 3 beaten eggs 2 cups goat milk 1/2 cup sugarr 1/8 tsp salt 1 1/2 tsp vanillaa mix thoroughly and stir often to prevent the eggs from lumping while they cook. I like to blend the mixture in a blender, but that's just my preference. If you'd like, I've had some success with adding Vanilla Nesquick to the milk and omitting the sugar. It makes the milk more creamy. Hope this helps! April recipes Does anyone have a good recipe for goat's milk ice cream? Guest guest
Abby, If you like pizza, the Sept 08 issue of Natural Health has some good pizza recipes with whole wheat crust. They also give the substitutions to make them with gluten free almond, coconut, chickpea, hazelnut, corn or rice flours.
