Lots of old time healers, herbalists, nutritionist, etc have made that statement time and time again. Only eat what grows in your area. In our global society today we are barraged with multitudinous varieties of everything from everywhere in the world. Believe it or not, this also holds true for herbs. Everything you need to handle anything grows in your local area. This is what all the old herbalists knew. They didn't need to import Siberian ginseng or any other exotic herb. They knew that anything they needed for anything grew right around where they lived. These were true herbalists who knew how to wildcraft their own medicines. Okay I'm getting romantic here. There has to be farms around somewhere. Just about any grocer can tell you what is local and what isn't. -- Peace, love and light, Don Quai " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man.
