spironolactone is not an immune modulator.

I'm on it to regulate progesterone

I've discussed it's so called use in ASD with Dr Zimmerman (JHU)

and there is no documentation indicating it would be beneficial.

He's actually very concerned that it's being used within the community

without medical basis

Hi: My name is Betsy and I am new to this group. I have a 17 year-old

son with severe autism. I have heard about Actos and Spironolactone

being used as immune modifying agents for kids with autism. What

alternatives to these two meds have you tried for your child? What

does Dr. Goldberg usually recommend? Thanks so much for your input.

Hi Sheryl,

With the Cat's Claw, I've been through the course of RainTree

Nutrition's powdered Cats Claw and after seeing some LLMDs, I've found

that Allergy Research Group's liquid prima una de gato (higher

concentration tao-free cats claw) works much better. The cheapest i've

found is on www.vitacost.com for $25.

It is very strong, so start with only 1 drop because it will likely

make you herx, then increase it by 1 drop every 2 weeks or as

tolerated. It's easiest to take in 2 sets per day, example: 2 drops in

am, 2 drops in pm. :)

I don't think it 100% kills the lyme after all of my

research/experience, but it does definitely help combat it and

improves daily functionality and feeling good. It keep the lyme

suppressed like antibiotics do so you can feel better while killing it

with other things like Rife, sea salt/c, magnesium, etc.
