Hi Meo,i never get colds, flu, nothing.  can only remember the flu maybe 3x and a few colds.  however, come to think of it, never since fibro/lyme over 30 yrs ago.  neither does my mother get sick.  however, she has fibro and some 'chronic' illness---lyme?????  she would never admit it.

i had a ND tell me that we get the 'bug' but with a suppressed immune system, never get symptoms--the symptoms being the immune system fighting off the infection.  soooooo, our cells just 'absorb' the critters, adding it to the others we have.  which just makes us sicker.

i have been killing bart and babs, and working really hard on detoxing.  haven't even started on lyme yet.  interestingly, had 4 g.kids for 3 days here last week, all had been sick, one still coughing.  well, day after they left, i got really sick with a head cold.  took me down for about 4 days.  this is the first time in 40+ yrs i've been sick. 

 so, does this mean my immune system is peeking out to say hi?  would be nice.barbara

 

Hi - I am confused by something that I read. It stated that when you have Lyme Disease you will not get colds or flus. I have noticed that this is true for me. I have not had a cold in years, but I thought that this was because my immune system was in high alert and killed off the colds or flus so quickly and my herxing is actually the die off of the cold or flu viruses. If this is not the case, can someone explain to me what is really occurring? Thanks a bunch... Blessings, Meo
