Guest guest
We just went through this with my son (sans allergies), and he had been potty trained for over 2 years. I was not washing the blue dye off his Valtrex tablets, so I started doing that. And, I was having his Nizerol compounded but inadvertently had chosen bubble gum flavoring. I had to pay out of pocket for a new px of Nizerol with orange flavoring. The pee accidents stopped when both issues were corrected. Good luck to you. He actually started looking and feeling good right away. His language picked up and he was focused and connected for about 2 weeks. Allergies kicked in and he started eye blinking and sniffing so much that it looked initially like a tic had developed. His eyes got puffy and his pediatrician confirmed allergies. For about a week now he is having pee accidents during the day. He has peed in bed at night on and off in the past but this is different. He is just peeing for no apparent reason. It's not like he can't make it in time. Is this yeast? He is gfcf and minimal yeast foods since Nov 1 st. these accidents are becoming a regular occurence. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Guest guest
Hi Vicki- Has he had strep recently? When my ASO titers go over 800, I lose the sensation of needing to 'go', so I have to set a timer for every 30 minutes, because I also can't or don't empty my bladder or something either. When my system gets thrown off - and a virus threw it off recently so here I 'go' again. One thing ASO antibodies are able to do (and I couldn't find the references to this if I tried because it wasn't directly ASO but something 2 steps away) is dysregulate some of the urinary hormones that include the ones that 'turn off' urine production at night (bedwetting) or the sensation of a full bladder, etc. Any time you can relieve triggers off the immune sytem - IF this is dysregulated - you can see improvement. For me, antifungals and antibiotics improve it a lot, and it doesn't happen at all when my ASO drops to the 700s or lower. It can be one of those little symptoms that aren't harmful but just anoying, but you do want to rule out UTI infections - not likely and I wouldn't go through a whole lot of troube but rather work it into another visit. Guest guest
Hey, . Thanks for solving a mystery for me. My ASO titers hover between 1800 and 2000 (antibiotics lower them a little but not much). I've noticed bladder issues, especially at night. I go before I get into bed and then 10 minutes later, I have to go again. It happens every night and then I'm fine. The sensation that I have to go doesn't seem to go away. I wonder if it has anything to do with the titers? Robyn <thecolemans4@...> wrote: Hi Vicki- Has he had strep recently? Guest guest
We just switched Gryffin from zoloft to paxil and the accidents are back in our house now. I hate this. He was fully potty trained before ssri's came into our house. Cheryl On May 19, 2008, at 8:18 AM, Googahly@... wrote: > Is he on a SSRI yet? Guest guest
That explains it . . . Noah had two accidents in row the first few days on Zoloft, but after about a week, everything returned to normal. We did monitor his fluid intake in the evenings. He's a big water drinker. Guest guest
It certainly has to do with the titers for me ... but other bacterial infections can aggrevate it too. At least it's just an inconvenience/irritation and not anything harmful. Mysteries solved are good... Re: Re: Pee Accidents Hey, . Thanks for solving a mystery for me.
