Guest guest
We have been with Dr. G now for almost four years after trying no meds for two. Our child's life and our sanity is back with medication (although I wish it weren't so). We have certainly had those days of wondering how our child would now be without medication. We are reminded on those days when he doesn't get his pharm refills on time. We are instantly reassured medications are a must for his autistic disease. Every child is different of course, but every parent wonders or feels frustrated when we are having to give our beautiful babies medication. Good luck! >From: <ljburns83@...> >Date: 2008/05/05 Mon PM 05:21:36 CDT > >Subject: Need some encouraging words... > >Hi All, > >Is anyone willing to share their story/history (briefly) over the past >few years with Dr. G. Guest guest
I have not been to Dr. G yet and am not sure if I will as i need to do more research. When you say meds, are they regular prescription meds or more natural supplements? My son goes to a DAN doctor presently and is doing well but I need to address some gut stuff and yeast overgrowth which is where I am now. My goal is to rebuild the immune system I unwittingly compromised. PLEASE NOTE THAT MY EMAIL ADDRESS HAS CHANGED TO... dawndolan@... Guest guest
We all ask that question--but do we have any other choice but to do what we think is best, for to do nothing would be the worst. <ljburns83@...> wrote: Hi All, Is anyone willing to share their story/history (briefly) over the past few years with Dr. G. Guest guest
I don't think any of us ever wanted our children to be on meds. And we certainly don't want them to be on them forever and I'm also certain we've probably all questioned whether the progress would be the same without them. For us, it's obvious that he needs them because without them, he immediately gets sick. I *know* he needs these things because we tried DAN and it simply didn't produce any results. This has. Natural antivirals, antifungals, etc. did nothing for us. Guest guest
If you want to go a natural route, Dr. G is not the one for you. Almost everything he does is Rx. Guest guest
Hi , I don't know how much help of what I am going to say will be but I can offer what little encouragement I can give. I also have a 4 year old high functioning child (daughter) and she is on antivirals and antifungal, and she was getting better for a while, but recently she has regressed. It could be from things in her diet etc., but I too am freaking out about her future and most of all recovery. I have an appt. with Dr. Goldberg in June so I am hoping that he will provide her with help. All I could say is hang in there and be strong. My daughter was recently diagnosed in January and I am doing everything possible to find the right treatments for her. Since she started the Valtrex and Diflucan she has gained some clarity which has been a plus. I feel like I actually have my little girl. it wasn't until recently that she actually will come up to me and give me a hug and tells me that she loves me. I never had that from her before. So to me that was the ultimate gift. Anyhow, I keep a daily log on her meals and behavior, meds, etc. That helps me to see what helps her and what doesn't. It also helps me to keep track of any food or enviormental triggers that may cause change in her. Well hope this helps and hang in there. God bless.
