Hi there....I am , and my son Mikey was dx w adhd last year

and has been on ritalyn for almost a yr now. we have had ups and

downs with this.

I am gonna do a quick intro for him....Mikey, 2-7-01, has 3 older

sisters, 18, 15, 9.....he had asthma and sleep apnea when he was

younger. he has had tubes put in ears twice, tonsils taken out and

adnoids also out....he has a speech delay, and is unable to read. I

will explain more detail next time.

I need to go for now.

Please share your experiences with me, for I have no one, other than

drs, to talk to about this condition. The school is out for the

summer and I want to stay on top of his learning disabilities.

Anyways, more later, and thank you for your time..

take care, and hugs

shannon

Hi ,

Mikey sounds very much like my son (age10). We

have had all the same surgeries and some extra. We

don't have an ADHD dx yet. But are suspicious that he

might be. He has difficulty reading and writting also.

For the summer we enrolled him in a school to help him

with the difficulties. We will have to wait and see

how that goes.

I would love to chat with more.

Take Care.

My sister just sent me an audio file (.mp3) on kids who are gifted, but are

often misdiagnosed with all kinds of things (ADHD, autism, Aspergers, LD,

etc.) and they often have the same sensory issues and food sensitivities of

kids that do have biomedical issues. If you are interested, please let me

know and I will try to email it to you (it's a large file).

Hi Caroline,

Yes. The first one was written by the doctor (Webb) interviewed on the audio

file.
