Guest guest
Hi, My son has been on valtrex for about a month. He has been wetting his pullup a lot. Before he took the valtrex, he wasn't completely potty trainied but at least he was able to control his bladder for longer periods of time. Does anybody know if taking valtrex causes more frequent urination and if so, will the problem eventually diminish or stop. I was told it was most like a die-off. Any information anybody can give on this topic will be very helpful to me. Thanks Saroja
Guest guest
Problems with urination are listed as a possible side effect but I'd wait it out at least a few more weeks to rule out the die-off issue. Guest guest
My son started back on Valtrex in April, and had a lot of potty accidents (potty trained for 2 years). At first I was not washing off the blue dye, but when I started washing it off we saw a lot more gains and a lot less regression. I don't know how old your son is, or if you are ready for it, but I was able to fully potty train my son when I stopped putting him in a pull up. We stayed at home the first two days (the first day was really messy, but the 2nd he did great), and the 3rd day we were ready for public (with our travel potty). Guest guest
Thanks for the responses. My son turned five last month and was diagnosed with autism at 13 months old. I am hoping this protocol will work well for him. Hopefully my son's urination problem will lessen in the coming weeks. I will wash the blue dye off the valtrex tablets to see if it helps my son. Again, thanks to everyone who responded to my post. Guest guest
My son did this until someone told me to stop giving Reverse Osmosis water without minerals added back in...or just give mineral water and let it go flat...the denatured water tastes goo but it pulls vits and minerals from teh body and causes excessive urination...just get you electric tea kettle - tun it with RO water once or twice and you will see all the mineral lift off...less water and only with COncentrace tdrops back in and this should stop...Di > > > > Hi, > > My son has been on valtrex for about a month.
