Make no bones about it this is powerful stuff at concentrations over 3% which is why you won't find it in the supermarket. You will have to go to a chemist shop or a pharmacy and buy/order it. Normally what you will get stateside is 35%. There are higher percentages but you don't even want to go there. This stuff is a very potent oxidizer. It is very unstable which is why they put other ingredients into the 3% stuff so it will stay on the shelf (as in shelf life). The higher potent stuff will come in a usually clear plastic HDPE bottle with a vented cap. Here is a little data from http://www.h2o2-4u.com/index.html: *Hydrogen Peroxide Grades* *3% Hydrogen Peroxide (Drug/Grocery Store Variety) * Used as antimicrobial agent for treating wounds and sanitizing agent [Made from 50% Super D Peroxide, Diluted. Contains stabilizers - phenol, acetanilide, sodium stanate, tetrasodium phosphate among them.] [This peroxide contains known chemicals do not ingest!] *6% Hydrogen Peroxide* Used by Beauticians for Coloring Hair. Used as sanitizing agent. Comes in strengths labeled 10,20,40 volume. Must have activator added to be used as a bleach. [Contains stabilizers, additives, and impurities dependent on manufacturing and dilution process. Do not ingest.] *30% Re-Agent Hydrogen Peroxide * Used in medical research. [Contains stabilizers, additives, and impurities dependent on manufacturing and dilution process. Do not ingest.] *30-32% Electronic Grade Hydrogen Peroxide * Used for washing transistors and integrated chip parts before assembly. [Contains stabilizers, additives, and impurities <http://www.micromagazine.com/archive/98/09/huber.html> dependent on manufacturing and dilution process. Do not ingest.] *35% Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide (Also 50% Food Grade H2O2) * Used in food products like cheese, eggs, whey products. Also used to spray inside of foil lined containers for food storage - known as the aseptic packaging system. Used for the disinfection of potable water. Also used (diluted) to disinfect, kill bacteria, sanitize wounds and introduce oxygen into the body. Eg. bathing, gargle, toothpaste, treat drinking water, etc. [Contains stabilizers, additives, and impurities dependent on manufacturing and dilution process. --e.g. This Food Grade Hyrogen Peroxide is Stabilized using tin based formulations <http://www.fmcchemicals.com/family.asp?global_id=61> ] *35% Technical Grade Hydrogen Peroxide * <http://www.h2o2-4u.com/price.html>(Click to Order Now) Used for waste water treatment and the disinfection of potable water, cosmetics, and laundry applications. Also used (diluted) to disinfect, kill bacteria, sanitize wounds and introduce oxygen into the body. Eg. bathing, gargle, toothpaste, treat drinking water, etc. [May contain a small amount of phosphorus to neutralize any chlorine in the water it is combined with.] MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET & Technical Details: Hydrogen Peroxide (20 to 40%) <http://msds.fmc.com/msds/2293vjbr.htm> *35% Standard Grade Hydrogen Peroxide (Also 50%, 60%, 70% Standard Grades)* Used mainly for bleaching in the pulp and paper industry and in the textile industry; oxidation reactions in the chemical industry; environmental processes (detoxification and deodorization). Used for Waste water treatment. [Contains stabilizers, additives, and impurities <http://www.h2o2.com/intro/techdatastandard.html> Do not ingest.] *90% Hydrogen Peroxide * Used by the military as a source of Oxygen at Cape Canaveral. Used as a propulsion source in rocket fuel. *99.6% Hydrogen Peroxide * This was first made in 1954 as an experiment to see how pure a hydrogen peroxide could be manufactured. Now for a few peroxide solutions: *SUPERFAST SOLUTIONS* *35% HYDROGEN PEROXIDE* *CAUTION: 35% HYDROGEN PEROXIDE IS CLASSIFIED AS A DANGEROUS COMMODITY DUE TO CONCENTRATION. PLEASE HANDLE ACCORDINGLY. STORE IN A COOL DARK PLACE, AWAY FROM COMBUSTIBLE MATERIAL, CHILDREN AND UNAUTHORIZED USERS. PRODUCT WILL BURN SKIN ON CONTACT-PLEASE PROTECT SKIN AND EYES. * *__________________________________________________________________* *1. Formula to make a 3% solution involves mixing 1 oz. of 35% Hydrogen Peroxide in a plastic spray bottle and 11 oz. of distilled water. This will give 12 oz. of 3% hydrogen peroxide. * *2. Add 8 oz. of 3 % Hydrogen Peroxide to your wash in place of Clorox or bleach . * *3. Use 1 oz. of 3 % hydrogen peroxide in 1 Litre of water or 16 drops of 35% Hydrogen Peroxide in 1 Litre of water, to water or mist household and garden plants. * *4. For cows, poultry and swine, inject 8 oz. of 35% Hydrogen Peroxide per 1000 gallons of drinking water to keep lines clean.* *5. To mist field crops, mix 5 oz. of 35 % hydrogen peroxide into 20 gal. of water. Spray on plants early in the morning when there is dew still on the plants.* *6. ALWAYS test spray a small portion of your crop to check for plant sensitivity.* * ALWAYS ADD HYDROGEN PEROXIDE TO WATER, IN OTHER WORDS, PUT THE RECOMMENDED AMOUNT OF WATER IN THE CONTAINER _FIRST_, THEN ADD THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF HYDROGEN PEROXIDE. * Hope this helps you Caroline. Hope this answers your question? Peace be with you . -- Peace, love and light, Don Quai " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man. Guest guest
Dear Obie and others, Here is a message about how to sign up on the " hydrogenperoxide " group. So if you have an ID with and you are able to sign in to your account at: http:// Then you can just join?! I think that it should be that simple?!! Here is the homepage for the " hydrogenperoxide " group: HydrogenPeroxide/ Or are you actually trying to speak/communicate with someone at the company, ?
