Cheryl, what gains specifically did you see? Yesterday in church Noah started to

spontaneously sing the responsorial psalm. He's never done that before.

Regarding the issue of whether Dr. G is OK with generics, I can only say that

I checked the last scrip he wrote. There's a box to check if generics are NOT Ok

and he didn't check the box.

covered it. We have BCBS (scripts through Medco) and our co-pay is $25, but the

receipt

says retail is $620. I know that a few months ago, insurance required Dr. G to

verify the

script and basically state that we would be needing it for the next 12 months in

order for

them to continue to cover it (they've never done that before). So maybe there is

some way

to find out if there's a work-around of sorts to get the script written

differently in order

for it to be covered? Just a thought.

We also used Famvir years ago. I don't really remember why the change, but my

son's

titers have remained low and steady for quite some time on the Valtrex.

Oh, man, I couldn't begin to explain them all as it was literally,

*everything*. He started using language without prompting and

spontaneously, he was more aware of everything, he became less foggy,

his eyes were brighter and more alert, he started being able to

understand and learn, etc.

I agree. The best discription i can use is I often

would nick name him Goober =Just a reference to the

PB & J he liked. Now I call him Bright eyes - it makes

him smile.

That is what he has become.

Thanks, Cheryl. We're seeing some positives already and we hope they continue.

Our Aspie son, , will start with Dr. G soon. Dr. G believes he is more

classic , so the protocol should help him as well.

All the best,

Robyn
