Guest guest
Here is everything I have information on as far as flight assistance (btw, it's called Wings for Little Angels, info on it below): Airline ticket programs for medical reasons: Free Airline tickets from Continental Airline to visit doctor out of state. If you are taking your child to see a doctor out of state, you can order free airplane tickets from Continental Airline. They will fly the child and one parent free. The program is called Careforce. You will call Melia at 281-360-5314. All she needs is a note from a doctor stating that you have an appointment on certain date. Her fax number is 281-361-7114. You can use this program once a year. ***NOTE*** This was posted in 2007. If you are viewing this later, the name of the contact may not be the same but the program should still be called CAREFORCE so you should still be able to speak with someone. Southwest also has a program, I haven't looked up the details but you can find it out by calling them. http://www.miracleflights.org/ They work with all these other airline programs and if they can't get tickets through one of the programs, they buy them for you. Also, they will fly both parents along with the patient. Go to _www.unlockingautism.org_ (http://www.unlockingautism.org) . On the left hand side of the screen you'll see Wings for Little Angels in blue lettering. Clicking on it will bring you to an application. Guest guest
Thank you so much! My 6yr old is not perking up after his wicked virus about a month ago. His teacher sent a note home saying that he's late to his class every morning because he walks so slowly and sometimes even stands in the hall like he doesn't know what he's supposed to be doing, and on the playground, he just sits under the slide. He jumps on the trampoline a lot, though! Thanks to Dr Klimas for having that suggestion somewhere as a good and well-tolerated form of exercise for CFIDS, or he wouldn't do anything. --- Cheryl Lowrance <c.lowrance@...> wrote: > Here is everything I have information on as far as > flight assistance > (btw, it's called Wings for Little Angels, info on > it below): > > > > Airline ticket programs for medical reasons: > > Free Airline tickets from Continental Airline to > visit doctor out of > > state. Guest guest
, That sounds like my son 5 years ago... I pulled him out of school, he was SO spaced out. He did not appear to be sick. Dr. G. had been monitoring his strep antibodies for probably 9 months prior to that... I called the office... he immediately put him on erythromycin (but had to switch to ERYPED a few days later due to upset stomach). He had a rapid and drastic improvement. His teacher called me from school his first back to say it was a miracle. I know you¹ve dealt with strep a lot, but I just had to mention that this sounds just like the manifestation in my son. I hope you can get things figured out quickly. If anyone can, it¹s you! Good luck. Caroline G.
