No that was the antiviral I was interested in but Dr. liked Amantadine ,

not Ganciclovir >, My Dr. said no and or implied it wasn't for me also it

is not without risks

I am on amantidine the dopamine effect helps a little people have used it along

time if it really helped a lot we would know that by now -- what dose are you

going to take -- I take 100mg a day.

Go way down and, if need be, have it titrated by a compounding pharacy. Most

pateints can tolerate only a tiny amount.

Someone asked a while back why we don't use this and I spoke with Dr.

G about it today. The reason we don't use it is because it's

*dangerous*. Dangerous enough that it can kill your child so we work

within the parameters of what we have that is *safe*. Ganciclovir

may be a better drug for fighting HHV6 but it is not safe enough.

The side effects can be lethal.
