Guest guest
Hi. My son did well on Valtrex and Nizoral under the care of a DAN...who we quickly realized had no idea what she was doing with antivirals as soon as Matt plateaued and needed more than just Valtrex and nizoral strategy to heal his immune system. We got the diagnosis a year ago, and are now starting almost all over in Goldberg's care - it feels that way anyway. THis time out we will be on Famvir without already being on an antifungal...is it going to be tough for him - and us? Any experiences with Famvir? Thanks for any news or advice you can offer... How are the kids doing - are they recovering? Has anyone seen gut issues and narrowness in eating choices subside? Thanks Di
Guest guest
I feel like my son is recovering. He has been with Dr. G for 2.5 years. We still have a ways to go. I feel this way because this past Feb. he got a " flu " and he regressed pretty badly for several weeks, until Dr. G could get his immune system back on track (and he was sensitive to some of the preparations of some of the meds, as well). His gut issues are MUCH better, i.e. not an issue any more. He will taste new foods, but has not added any to his diet yet. Guest guest
Hi- Famvir was better for us ... we saw a lot more gains on it than we did on Valtrex. Both antifungals were always awesome, although the shorter periods on Nizoral may have been even better. We never had problems w/any of the meds - each change usually brought some positives. Have no fear, and face the problems only as they come - don't worry in advance. Change can be great! Hi. Beginning Famvir today as a new patient...bit nervous. Advice anyone? Hi.
