My son is on an SSRI now - questions

Hi All!

My son's child psychiatrist put him on Prozac. He is taking 5 mg. per

day. My son is seeming to be acting a little more out of it. He is

having staring spells, but I don't think that it is seizure activity

since I can break the staring spells. Has anyone else seen this when

starting an SSRI?

What were some of gains that you saw when your child went on an SSRI?

We are hoping for less aggression, more compliance,less OCD, more

sociability with other children and definitely more speech. Am I being

realistic? Probably not, but I do hope to get at least some of these

things happening while he is on the medicine.

I must add that my son is on Acyclovir, Diflucan and mb-12 shots along

with the Prozac.
