Guest guest
I have posted on a few other support sites I'm on about various things, and I was on the SCD group and mentioned that unlike most ASD parents have experienced..I have a 4 yr old son who's bowels are normal, has no sleep disorders, and rarely " ism's " or stimms. His issues are language expression and eye contact. I infact mentioned that my son is rarely sick...and I mean rarely. She thought that maybe he had because he is never sick. This concept would make sense in the fact that if his autoimmune system is overactive...he would rarely get sick. He was sick once at 3 months old with viral pneumonia, and I can't state since then he has been sick. Not to mention my entire family is a load of all various auto- immune disorders. I am already gearing to start my son on the SCD diet. Does anyone think that I need to get my son tested for ? How do you go about attacking this with a developmental ped? What testing is available and what exactly is a positive test telling me? Thank you so much for your guidance in advance!
