I am new to the group. Can you tell me what stands for and what

is the pandas/ pitands flares are please

neuroimmune dysfunction syndrome

PANDAS pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorder related to strep

infection, PITANDS is related to viruses.

Children who have this disorder have sudden emotional outbursts, OCD behavior ,

tics and major anxieties diagnosis must be established through blood tests and

behavior occuring simultaneously..
