Guest guest
Hi Noel, What I've found out is that a Lactate/Pyruvate level needs to be drawn, and if the Pyruvate is low it indicates a mito. problem. My son 's Pyruvate is very low at only 0.02mM. The metabolic physician who ordered the test told us not to worry, it's only an issue if it's too high. Well, now we know that she was wrong. We need to do further testing to see if he acquired a mito. problem from his vaccinations ect.. Also, it's best to have this lab drawn at the hospital lab, as it needs to be handled immediately to get an accurate result. HTH, PS Thanks for the info. re: IVIG ! @...: schneid99@...: Tue, 29 Apr 2008 23:28:48 +0000Subject: MT dysfunction anyone know other markers than Lactate, for Mitochondrial Disorders? screening tests etc....thanks Noel
