Guest guest
Hi - We also drive 3 hours to our appointments, but luckily my in-laws live there as well, so it's not too much of a hardship. Are you going to a Cranial Tech? That's where we go. Because they knew we were coming from out of town, they scheduled us for around 10:00 that morning, and then planned to have us come back 3 hours later to do a check for red spots and any adjustments if necessary. We ended up not going back that afternoon, since we had planned to stay overnight anyway (I guess they mainly do that for people who are coming and going in one day), and went in the next afternoon instead for a minor adjustment (more to do with the way it laid on his one ear, not for a red spot). But if you tell them that you're coming from out of town, hopefully they can do something similar and schedule you for a check a few hours later and hopefully you can get some idea of whether an adjustment will be necessary by then. Are you planning on staying overnight for at least one night? I would think, especially if you have a DocBand (babies sleep in it the first night), you should have a really good idea if you need an adjustment by the next day, at the latest. (If you're getting a StarBand, it might not be as evident if an adjustment is needed since they don't stay in it for long periods of time for at least a few days). I planned to stay several nights at my in-laws so that I wouldn't have to make an emergency trip back, and ended up only staying one night because my son did really well adjusting. So I always say, plan for the worst and hope for the best! Good luck with everything! Jake-18m (tort resolved/rt plagio/DocBand 2/11/08) Jordan-4 > > Hi everyone! Guest guest
Yea we go to Cranial Tech. We also stay with my parents since they live in the area They made our appoitment for 4pm on a friday so I think I might call and change it like u suggested. I asked them yesterday at his appoitment about the whold having to come back and they said its not common but they will make sure it fits really really good. So we will see what they say on Monday cuz we cant afford any emergency trips since we dont have the money and my husband cant get out of work since he is in the military. So i hope they can change the appoitment. > > > > Hi everyone! Guest guest
Hi CArrie- We didn't experience die-off. I also had to continuously protect my youngest (still sometimes do but not as bad) like you're doing ... hang in there because it does get better. I used to get so angry it was hard to manage, even though I knew he couldn't control it. It was probably the most difficult behavior I ever had to cope with. For future, they're great friends now (at 6 & 8) and the littlest is much better about standing up to him these days, and empathy has improved a lot. The Diflucan helped so much w/sensory issues and it crossed over into how he reacted to the baby (crying made him crazy) and he also got a little less stressed at the baby coming toward him. Ultimately I credit antivirals for doing the most underlying work but that is far more subtle. HTH - I hope you experience wonderful things. --- Caroline <carrieps@...> wrote: > We are about to go down to see Dr. Goldberg and are > planning out the > rest of our summer and want to know the range of > what others have > experienced in reaction to the medications. Guest guest
Hope it's ok to chime in....My little boy is NOT aggressive UNLESS he has food dyes/coloring, certain preservatives, and too much sugar.
