Thanks ,

Why he does't accepted patients who have been true DAN protocol?

Is he thinking that DAN protocol is hurting our childs?

Anyway, I'm glad that he's changed his idea.

It's difficult to find right protocol at first time.

Hi -

Yes, Dr Goldberg does see oversees patients. It could be worth the

trip. I'm not sure but I do think he's currently accepting patients who

have been thru the DAN! protocol - for a while, he was not taking kids

who had been thru chelation and maybe HBOT? Not sure. I would just

check with his office to be sure. Maybe others who have had the same

treatments can share how much benefit they received by switching to the

treatment?

Does Dr Goldberg accept oversees patients?

Hi from new member,

We are from Istanbul,Turkey.

I think that my son is very typical example of . We have a long

story:

My son Deniz is 9 years old now.

His immune system is weak since his birth, upper respiratory

infections started when he was only 1 month age.

His first autistic behaviours started just after recurrent coxsackie

infections (hand-foot-month disease) at 2,5 years old.

His diagnosis was PDD NOS, he wasn't too bad: verbal since 1 years old,

but

had mood swings, ocd, anxiety and stereotypical behaviours.

Then recovered temporary 'by coincidence' at 4,5 years old after a very

bad dysentery infection treated with several gut antibiotics and 6

months

later a tonsillit operation.

Then he went to a kindergarten during 2 years and started primary school

at

7 years old without problem.

He had still some issues, had still too much upper respiratory

infections,

had ADD , had some stereotypical behaviours appeared just before

infections and disappeared after infections.

He had a secondary regression at 7,5 years old, a sudden personality

change: refused everything, reading, writing, painting, playing with

other

children., started to tell strange stories. His psychologist said with

happiness that his imagination is developing! But he was hallucinating ,

and than 1 week later come home crying, completely confused.

It was 2 month after his prevenar vaccination and just 15 day after his

DPTa vaccination. Also he was on ritalin since 3-4 weeks.

Dr thought that it's a side effect of ritalin, but now I believe in it's

because of vaccinations.

Then , tried several drugs during next months, he wasn't hallucinating

anymore but he became deeply autistic: has sharp mood swings, steaming

all

day, talking himself, singing himself ....

Every dr had different diagnosis: bipolar disorder, childhood

schizophrenia,

just autism etc...

Then we learned about biomedical approach, stopped all psychotic drugs

which were not helping at all.

We did several intervention : supplements, chelation (IV DPMS + IV EDTA

and oral DMSA) , HBOT (2x40 session hard chamber), IVIG,

antifungal treatment. Some of them had temporary (2-3 weeks) positive

effects, (HBOT and antifungal), but he regressed again.

We did MRI and EEG just after regression which were clear. About 1 year

ago we did SPECT showed some mild hypoperfussion at fronto-temporal

lobes.

We did several tests : amino acides, organic acides , comprehensive

stool ,

provoked toxic metal tests(no more mercury, still some lead), french

porphyrine test (shows mild mercury toxification) , Yasko nutrigenomics

test

(some genetic defects on methylation) , viral-bacterial titers (no strep

,no Herpes, only high coxsackie titers), IgG food allergy (no any food

sensitivity) ...etc..

We only have 1 DAN dr here, and he doesn't support antiviral therapy, so

we

found a DAN dr form USA supporting via phone consultation

and started to Valtrex with big hope. He's on valtrex and nizoral since

1,5 month and he had some die-off but he doesn't have still significant

gains.

Do you think that Dr. Goldberg can help my son ? I will try to arrange

an

appointment.

Thanks for reading.

Dr. G once told me that working with some kids that have been on a true DAN

protocol can be difficult because their immune systems have really been

wrecked (wrecked is my word...I forget his exact term). It's my

understanding that he does believe DAN is hurting at least some kids.

My son became Dr. Goldberg's patient in April 2008. We told Dr.

Goldberg that we did chelation and HBOT and even though he said that

this could have hurt my son he didn't reject him.

Thanks,
