Guest guest
I also wanted to add something... Someone had asked me if I had ever been diagnosed with autism or anything else? So I wanted to put my response here as well... " 'I' myself have never been diagnosed with 'autism' per-se, so I can't say definitively. However I've never really seen a doctor who specialized in Autism growing up to ever be evaluated for it. What I can say definitively was after getting the NeuoSPECT scan they did distinguish what they were fairly certain was a neuroimmunological process taking place. I'm on the protocol working with a Neuroimmune doctor out of Texas. As an ADULT they did diagnose me with bipolar II, OCD, depression, ADHD, Chronic Fatigue/Neuroimmune disorder, Multiple Chemical Sensitivities. (As a child I mainly had OCD, ADHD, and anxiety and some depression- after getting sick with a virus in 2002 things worsened and my diagnoses expanded.) 'If' the Neuroimmune disorder is a strong predictor of Autism-type disorders then I would likely say these illnesses are probably all affiliated with each other. I've noticed having had some of the symptoms I've seen/heard discussed with Autism children growing up however (looking back). I would have to be classified as 'high functioning' autistic if I did have some spectrum of autism. Oddly enough I had periods growing up where I was in the special-education classes, and had to even be put back in third grade... all the way to getting straight A's and being a top performing student. It was quite odd how my performance would fluctuate like that. I was well aware I was 'odd' growing up but I never knew 'why' I was so different from all the other children and why I felt so 'strange' most all of the time. I simply 'knew' I didn't feel right or well on the inside. I was well aware that I was ill in some form- but I didn't understand what it was, nor what was going on inside of me. I was usually doing something to try to urge my mother to take me to the doctor or get me help because I didn't feel well nor 'right.' I was always looking for answers- and would simply baffle the doctors, counselors or psychiatrists. I hope this helps other people. - > > > Hi , > > Thank you for your post! Guest guest
Thank you for sharing , this was very helpful and encouraging, because it makes me feel like I am on the right track with my daughter. She is seeing Dr. (I assume that's your doc?) <javanfirkins@...> wrote: I also wanted to add something... Someone had asked me if I had ever been diagnosed with autism or anything else?
