This is just another stall tactic to cover up the heavy metals burden

children with autism have. Most children with autism have heavy metal

toxicity, high lead, mercury, aluminum to some degree. It is just a choice

your doctor makes in deciding if he wants to treat or not. The government

does not want it to be exposed that heavy metals may factor into autism and

just shows you what we as parents are up against in this fight with autism.

My son was tested for metals and no excessive levels were found. The Dr.

we had before Dr. G who does chelation on adults said he saw no reason

to give our son chelation (thank God) our son received the 5 in 1

vaccines through a research lab and they did not have any thimersol in

them. I do believe Dr G when he says the immune system has a problem to

begin with and I have no doubt the 5 n 1 vaccines certainly did not help

an already troubled immune system. I have a friend with 4 boys, 3

diagnosed autistic. She totally believed her first son became autistic

after an adverse reaction to DPT. She did not vaccinate her next two

sons who both were diagnosed autistic. I don't believe the vaccines are

the only culprit her rather they can trigger it. Jerri

Your right, chelating is not always the best choice, it needs to be administered

appropriately and not abused.. Just because there are metals does not mean you

chelate. The metals have to be excessive and it needs to be determined that the

immune system will not be able to rid them on its own. The best way to rid the

metals is for the methylation process to work naturally. I only believe in

chelation as a last resort myself.

think what you want but most parents/doctors I have spoken to see heavy metal

problems of SOME SORT..all for now!!!

Sorry - this is not a cover - most children with autism actually do NOT have

heavy metal toxicity .. Think about it. most children with autism have never

had a blood test to determine either way for a start!! That be as it may,

those that do have tests for heavy metals findings say the contrary - my

son has no evidence of heavy metal poisoning nor do many others ..most

children with autism actually do NOT have heavy metal toxicity.

I don't agree with that stance necessarily either; that kids with autism Don't

have heavy metal toxicity.  With all do respect, how would one know?  I'm not

saying all do, every child, every person is different.  My son did have lead

overload.  Sometimes it is lower and sometimes it is in a higher than

normal range.  Blood tests, I believe, only show if there is lead or metals in

the blood which would suggest a recent exposure.  But, the metals don't stay in

the blood for long, the metals store in the fat, the organs and muscles and it's

hard to get out.  And I believe the brain is 60% fat.  Makes for great storage. 

 

I believe we all have elevated metals at some point due to environmental

toxins, the excessive lead, aluminum, arsenic in our water; which even if you

aren't drinking it, you're probably showering or bathing in it which allows even

more of the harmful pollutants to be absorbed into the body.  In the

future, if our government and society as a whole keep living like we do... for

today and not thinking about tomorrow, we'll probably all have to be chelated at

some point.

 

Done right, I think it can be helpful in some cases.  However, I have never seen

dramatic results in my child as some have; like going from no words to a full

sentence.  It's an intricate, complicated puzzle that is constantly changing.  I

don't know how someone can say definitively what works and what doesn't in every

child.

 

I do wonder however, how they tested the emotional state of the rat.  Pretty

funny.  And, secondly, as I read the article, I was looking for a pharmaceutical

angle.  There wasn't one until the very end.  The antibiotic that the woman in

the article says is promising..  It might be, just thought it was interesting. 

Our government has no problem testing drugs on our kiddos or even us for that

matter.  We're the rats!  Not trying to rattle anyone's cage, just want you to

always think about where information might be coming from and why.  How many

articles have we seen in mainstream media that say " absolutely no link between

vaccines and autism? "   How can someone ever even make such an incredulous

statement.  Yet we see it all the time.  Some of us probably have family members

or friends that are quick to reiterate that to us.

Dawn, you are absolutely correct. The metals only stay in the blood for a while

then they go into organs, fat..etc...Lead I know can go into the bones so an

xray can see the lead also. Aslo you have metals crossing the blood brain

barrier , this is when it is hard to tell how much has entered the brain? The

point I was trying to make is that heavy metals is a problem with ASD, how much

of a problem who really knows? Even if its only 20 % of the kids that have heavy

metal problems then its still 20 % too much!!! The reason they may really never

know is because proper testing is not done. I encourage all parents to get the

the proper testing done to rule out any overloads? Also, in regards to vaccines,

I want people to think about this? The government keeps saying that there is no

link between vaccines and autism and that vaccines are safe. I would like to see

the studies that say they are safe that dont come from the government or a

benefiting party. It seems that the only people that continue to say that

vaccines are safe are the governement or someone who is being paid to say such

things and yet you have thousands or researchers and doctor that say different.

Its Amazing what we are up against . Its also amazing that they tested a rat and

decided to stop the trial. It has happened in other cases wher drugs have not

been effective in the lab but have worked on humans and also the other way

around where it has worked on rats and then humans recieved no benefit. Its not

a perfect science. You need to know where and who is putting out the information

and who is too gain from it.
