Guest guest
My son has been on the protocol with Dr. G for the last 3 years, 3 months. A year ago, his HHV-6 levels were over 10,000 (!). I found out yesterday they are ZERO. My son's treatments have included diet, antiviral, antifungal, SSRI and Gamastan (plus a lot of faith and prayers). Friends and family lately have been commenting on how wonderfully my son is doing. We have noticed greatly increased focus and lots of language. Guess there must be a tangible reason for it. Kristy From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Sent: Wednesday, February 11, 2009 5:25 PM Subject: Treating HHV-6 Viral infections with Reduce Glutathione Has anybody specifically used reduced glutathione to treat HHV-6 infections? I found some information including a patent for the use of glutathione to treat HHV-6 viral infections. Guest guest
Hi, Kristy. Can you describe your son's functioning level when he started with Dr. G and compare it with his functioning now? I'm sorry to ask such a personal question, but it's so great to hear these success stories! Guest guest
When we started, my son was 3.5. He could not sit on the couch for a minute and read a book, or play appropriately with any of his zillions of toys. He had virtually no language. He had no eye contact, no pretend play skills. He used my hand to point to what he wanted/needed. He had started drooling a couple months before starting the protocol. He screamed and shook at the dentist and when getting his hair cut. Potty training seemed like a long ways off. A simple cold would turn into 4-5 months of rashes, respiratory infections and intestinal distress. He had limited his food choices to around 5 items. The drooling stopped and never returned after a few days on an antiviral. Tonight, he wrote his name and the name of every one of his classmates, teacher and aide on Valentine cards to hand out on Friday. He was motivated to do it and it was on cards HE picked out at the store. He is fully included in a regular 1st grade classroom. He has an aide, but she is becoming more and more of a shadow/classroom aide as the year progresses. He is at or above grade level in every subject but sometimes he's a little hard to motivate or get his attention if he's not interested or if he perceives something is hard. He is communicating with words with his classmates and others, and making OK eye contact. He is fully potty trained, day and night (since age 4). When he gets sick, which is not very frequently anymore, it is over like a 'normal' kid within a few days. He came home a few weeks ago and told me a joke about his favorite Disney characters ( " Why did Buzz and Woody cross the road? To get to Toy Story! " and he was cracking up!). He has really good pretend play skills, and seeks out our attention/engagement all the time. We still have a ways to go, but I feel like we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I just pray his little body continues to be so healthy, so he can continue to catch up on so many years of lost development. To help, we are doing Brain Highways (www.brainhighways.com) and RDI (www.rdiconnect.com) along with private ST and OT (1 hour of each once a week, plus what he gets at school). Guest guest
Thanks, Kristy. I'm so happy for your family and your son. What an amazing accomplishment for all of you. I pray I'll be telling this story one day.
