HiDo you feel the anti biotics made a great difference.. i have tried various herbs but on short term basis because i heard your body can become immune to them like anti biotics, i have not tried teasal, but i think it will be the next herb il try.

Hi - I had an interesting experience getting diagnosed. I had a severe flu with high fever and achy muscles after camping in the summer of 2005. The PA at my clinic ran a strep test but didn't bother to ask about exposure to deer ticks or camping. Of course, the strep test was negative (strep throat isn't very common really in the summer months...) As the years progressed, I had a Western Blot run by the U of M which came back negative of course... Then in 2008, I heard of IgeneX and called to ask which doctors in Mpls area used their lab. I got my present LLMD through them. My first test was one half band short of positive. My doctor decided to try antibiotics and I had a horrid herx. She didn't tell me that this might happen, but wanted to see how my body reacted. I was then officially diagnosed with Lyme. Had the coinfection panel run and came up with babs. Fast forward a few years (a year of oral antibiotics mixes and a year of IV antibiotic mixes and 6 months of an herbal protocol) My symptoms had improved such that I was declared "lyme free". But after getting off the herbal protocol, started to spiral downwards. We tried the herbs again and they didn't work any longer, tried the antibiotics and I was now allergic to things that had been fine in the past. I learned of teasel root extract. So got some of it and really felt horrid. About that time, my doctor ran another IgeneX test. It came back blatantly positive and some other co-infections were with it. I hadn't been camping or in any areas where I would be exposed to ticks. Seems like for me the teasel brought it out to show up in the blood. (When I was declared lyme free, my CD-57 had risen to above 60 from in the teens). I now use the coil machine for treatment and no longer herx for lyme, but do a preventive coil treatment just in case.

Not sure why it shows up in the blood sometimes and not others, but the group is correct that it can go into dormant (cyst) stage and not show up, or also go into tissues and organs and not be in the blood. I feel like the teasel pulled it out so that it showed up in the blood. I had heard that it drew the lyme out and also had been effective for some people as a treatment protocol.

Just my two cents, but maybe others have had similar experiences?
