Guest guest
Hi, I am asking this for a friend: " I need the name of a diagnostician in the dallas or houston area who can pick out a 15 month-old toddler who is showing some signs even if the parents report sound opposite of what they are seeing, u know someone who can see past the denial for a kid who is showing signs that only people like us who are around it could see. Really I am thinking a diagnostician who maybe even has a kid on the spectrum? Just because I have met plenty of losers here blatantly run from diagnosing a 15 month old and then even when they show signs they either say " wait and see " or from a few minutes and a denial parent interview will discount all of our concerns so please all of u from texas I'd love to find someone good who can spot a young toddler with some red flags. I would happy just for a provisional diagnosis until we see more or it gets better. " Thanks, Kristy
Guest guest
I would recommend contacting the Early Child Intervention Services (ECI). This is a program offered by the government, once you call them, they will send diagnosticians to your own house. When my wife noticed that our son was doing " strange " things when he was 22 months old she called ECI, they came to our house and they gave us the " red flag " for autism. After that, they offered speech, occupational therapy and play therapy right at our house and we didn't pay a dime for the services. http://www.dars.state.tx.us/ecis/index.shtml This service is for children up to 3 years of age. Hope this helps, > > Hi, > > > > I am asking this for a friend: > > > > " I need the name of a diagnostician in the dallas or houston area who can > pick out a 15 month-old toddler who is showing some signs even if the > parents report sound opposite of what they are seeing, u know someone who > can see past the denial for a kid who is showing signs that only people like > us who are around it could see.
