jim, will look into the biotin.  doubt she'll do anything about it. she denies she consumes much sugar.  for christmas her stepdaughter gave them 3 large grocery bags of sweets, some homemade and some bought at trader joe's.  she does this every year.  finally my mom did ask her to only give them 2 bags.  mom just thinks of sugar, not candy, cookies, brownies, sweetened canned fruit, ice cream, etc. it's all over the house.  can't get her to understand, let a lone admit it. my husband has insisted i back off because it just causes stress, more for me then her.  she wants what she wants to eat.  she addicted to it.

i agree with all you've suggested and done all of them myself.  have fought it for yrs and still have to be very careful.  i tell my mom not to bring us any of the sweets, but she has that old belief of feeding sweets to the ones you love.  that generation thinks that way.  i have had to get firm with her so many times not to bring it over.  and so today, she brings over brownies, WITH frosting.  oh well.  but thanks for your suggestion.

i'll try the biotin, my nails have ridges and seem dry this yr.  usually they are very long, but am having a lot of cracking and splitting.thanks barbara

Hi Barb,

I have to wonder if Biotin will help with Mom's nails... Biotin really

hardens up nails and is also good for hair..

Kefir is good for Candida, also extra virgin organic coconut oil...

The one thing that got me off of sugar instantly was Flagyl! First day

I took it I had no use for sugar.. I was pleasantly surprised, but Flagyl

also has a few nasty side effects, so I would probably pass on it.

Molybednum is used to detox Candida from the brain.

I break one pill in half, take half in the AM, half in the PM
