Guest guest
Robyn, This isn¹t a mix, but it sounds interesting... you could do it with soy yogurt and substitute things that are OK for the no-nos. Could you make a bunch and then freeze it? URL is http://www.bushbeans.com/recipes/showRecipes.php?val=264 Tropical Quake Shake 1 can (6 ounces) pineapple juice 4 ounces non-fat strawberry banana yogurt 1 cup frozen strawberries, about 12 berries 1 can (16 ounces) BUSH'S BEST Great Northern Beans, rinsed and drained 1 teaspoon honey 3Ž4 teaspoon ground ginger 1Ž4 teaspoon ground nutmeg Place the pineapple juice, yogurt and berries in a blender and blend until smooth. Add BUSH'S BEST Great Northern Beans, honey, ground ginger and nutmeg. Blend, scraping the sides as needed. Serve well chilled. Created by Chef Katy Keck on behalf of Bush Brother's & Company I found the above by Googling ³vegan protein shake mix²... you might found something you like better that way. In fact, through the Bush¹s Beans website I linked to a bunch of dessert recipes made with beans! Link is below. http://vegetablewithmore.allrecipes.com/Index/Index.aspx?nodeid=1980 & parenti d=1980 Good luck! I just got my food allergy test back and found out I'm allergic to every single dairy product on the face of the planet, including goat's milk. I'm looking for a soy based, high protein, low carb shake mix, but all of them seem to have either milk or whey in them. I'm assuming the answer to this is no, but is whey acceptable on the diet? TIA, Robyn
Guest guest
It sounds great, but I'm allergic to pineapple as well. Thanks for the suggestion regarding " googling " vegan, low carb shake. I'll try it. Guest guest
You should be able to easily substitute another kind of juice, maybe pear or tangerine.
