Guest guest
The only thing I can respond to is that Dr.G told me a parent with Herpes 2 during pregnancy or conception had no consequence to a having a child with autism...but I am not completely convinced. > > I have a question : > Did anyone during pregnancy took acyclovir or had herpes simplex? > There is theory that autism may be caused by an immune system response to a virus such a herpes. I took acyclovir when I was pregnant and I have a daughter with mild autism. > Does anyone have a similar case? > Sent from my BlackBerry® smartphone with SprintSpeed >
Guest guest
I have never been on acyclovir, but I did have horrendous chickenpox as a child. We¹ve all had herpes viruses, and once with us they are never gone. The name herpes comes from the Greek 'herpein' - 'to creep' - these viruses cause chronic/latent/recurrent infections. So even if the herpes viruses are a trigger, it¹s not that we have them (because everyone gets them), but how our bodies and our children¹s bodies are handling them that is the problem in kids. Immune dysfunction. Our bodies can¹t fight them properly.
