May b ethe cysts have been created it mutilpy th edeseaae by several fold I have been thought this with other hting than ABX. it is rife that took me out of the trap

just from my personal experience with abx. after 18 mos. on them, plus other meds to help the abx, i am sicker now then before. seems that every part of me is worse.

also, we hear so much about grains and gluten being bad for us. my sister has also gone off of grains and feels better and lost weight. never made sense to me that whole, organic grains should be a problem. came across an article that talked about this. what it was saying is that they started noticing the gluten and grain problem AFTER the introduction of abx. has something to do with the abx effect on the lining of the gut and the destruction of the good flora. it eludes to a permanent effect. sorry, of course i can't remember where the site was. anyone else seen this info.

'better living through chemistry??' hardly. at this point, i will never take another abx unless it is life or death.

Oh yes, . I am so glad you brought that up. Strange as it may seem, my son never has seemed to have any candida issues. However, while on the abx protocol, he muscle-tested for a very potent probiotic and during the flagyl, he also needed a prebiotic. So yes, abx are very hard on the gut flora. Someone who already has gut flora issues should probably get that all under control before considering abx. And then take plenty probiotics. Also detox pathways need to be opened and detox organs need to be closely monitored and supported during abx treatment. When my son detoxes too fast, it takes a toll on his liver and kidneys. He takes a supplement for his kidneys all the time. He usually takes two per day, during the flagyl, he tested for NINE per day. And like I mentioned before, liver soaks were definitely needed. I hope I did not encourage anyone to simply take abx and think all will be fine. Quite the contrary, by simply taking abx with

no other support, one is opening themself up to whole lot of bad side effects.Before abx, every couple months my son would get lyme flare-ups lasting no more that a few days. He is what I would consider a very "healthy" lymie. =) Yes, I think that is possible. Other than lyme, he seems very healthy. He loves streneous activities; hiking, very rugged mountain-biking, jogging.... He got to that point through treating the lyme with all natural supplements. I think that is the reason why, when he got reinfected this past spring, along with a lot of natural support, he could handle the abx as well as he did.Thanks again, for bringing up a very important point.God bless, Malinda

Sorry, I know I should be more optimistic, it is just that I have been around this thing for so long, that I truly wonder if anyone ever cures chronic lyme. During his journey, there was a peiod of two years he was symptom free.
