I actually didn't think of a new drug being developed for chronic Lyme, I assumed one day a mix of some of the current drugs and supplements might offer a cure and of course it will be an expensive one, something like they did with AIDs... What concerns me is this is a chronic Lyme specific drug, which is great, but since the IDSA released their faulty Lyme guidelines in 2006, stating chronic Lyme does not exist. So I have to wonder if the FDA will approve a drug for a disease that does not exist.. I understand with the HUGE uproar in the Lyme community that chronic Lyme does indeed exist, the IDSA may be interested in taking another look at their Lyme guidelines. If this drug does work (BIG IF), it would certainly be a blockbuster drug as so many now live with chronic Lyme...
