IMHO. The other issue that is a problem with antibiotics is that they cause

such an imbalance in the intestinal flora. Lyme already causes the immune

system to be suppressed and antibiotics which are made from molds can cause an

overgrowth of Candida and can also make us susceptible to Indoor molds.

Aspergillosis is a disease of high mold levels that comes about from a

compromised immune system. People with Aids and Lyme as well as those who have

had their Spleens removed are much more prone to Aspergillis infection.

Although antibiotics might reduce the Lyme load, they rarely eradicate it

completely, and can serve to promote the pathogenic fungus load.

Easy enough, we treated with Ceftin (they felt he was too young for Doxy and he

is allergic to Amox.) I do not remember how long we treated, but probably not

long enough. I wish I had known back then what I know now. He was fine until the

following year he got another bite followed by another bulls-eye. This time we

felt like we had it down pat....give him a round of abx and he will be fine. I

wish. This time it was Doxy, the abx of choice, since he was 12 years old. After

his measly three-week treatment, he immediately came down with fever, and

feeling absolutely miserable. So after being off for only a day, or two, or

three, he was put back on Doxy. I do not know how long he was on Doxy. At the

time it seemed like a long time. Now, unlike then, I really know what a long

time is. I am guessing it was a total of 10 weeks.

surmise that the first infection was only put in cyst form after the three-week

treatment with Ceftin, and the reinfection needed more than whatever he was

is until six months later, when he came down with all Lyme syptoms...hurting all

over, extreme fatigue....

wonderfully along-side our ND. He put him on Doxy, and later added Ceftin. All

this time our ND and DC were muscle-testing the abx and both tested positive for

them. At one point, the LLMD recommended two weeks of Flagyl. Again, both the ND

and DC tested positive for the Flagyl. It was really encouraging to know that

both ND and DC, who did not even know each other were both testing positive for

all the abx. We needed that, since we have always and still do believe treating

naturally is best. But this experience has taught us that abx in some cases are

a real benefit. After a week on the Flagyl, we had to add more kidney support

and a soak to detox the liver. This soak for the liver we have used before and I

want to pass its info on, since it has helped my son many times in the past.

It's effects are felt immediately. Here is a link to it:

I think the abx causes overgrowth of candida, which causes leaky gut, which

causes food allergies. Dealing with candida seems to be quite complicated.

Long-term abx definitely stimulates LD to form cysts, and with the candida

flourishing, it is the perfect opportunity for the cysts to open. But Barbara,

if you are rifing every day, you are working on the LD and co's. It just takes

time. Also, if you take a short-term of tinadazole or micronidazole (flagyl),

they work on the cysts.

I understand one of the best probiotics to take after abx is Sacromyces

boullardii, which is available from several sources. But right now I am taking

a short course of 50mg Clotrimazole (2-3 daily with food), which is easier on

the liver than Nystatin. And with a strong full moon coming soon, it is even

more important to restrict carbs.

marie, hmmm.  guess i did it wrong.  i thought i read (which means nothing) you always waited.  so, i mix acid, mms and dmso and apply.  ok  thxbarbara

No Barbara ,

For the MMS on the skin NO waiting . apply right after puting the lemon in the mms and adding a few drops of dmso.

you skip the 3 minutes and apply asap. it burns less I do not know if it will give less herx

marie,

i think i did it right.  mix the citric acid and mms, wait to activate 3 min.  apply.  then put dmso on and rub that in.

when i did this the first time, i used 3 drops. in that area, arms, i was in pain the next day.  then it subsided. repeated it on legs and they hurt.  next did the arms again and then they hurt.  then i went into a total body herx.  sick, pain, nausea, headache.  it was a big herx.  later tried again with just one drop and pain in that area. started a small herx. stopped at one drop until it was gone.

i now put it on occasionally if i'm up to a herx.

i used it in an enema once but didn't hold it in long enough.  haven't tried it again as i feel the transdermal gets into my bloodstream quite well that way.  so will keep working slowly on that area.

i would imagine with lyme  in the tissues, it was killing the local lyme before it made it into the blood stream, if it made it at all, being used up by the local tissue bugs.

barbara

Hi Barbara,

I have horrble her orally but not dermally. Do you wait the 3mn after putting the lemon or not ?

We are nto supposed to wait at all immediatly put some DMSO and put it right away on the skin .

switchin gof area every 2 hours

Hi Suzy and Marie,

suzy, you may have had c. diff.  sometimes they don't always get it all and you may not know until you take another abx.  you can still have some lingering bugs and not know it if your good flora keeps it under control.  so if you have to do any abx watch very carefully, for signs of a relapse.  to make sure they got it all, you can have then do another stool sample to ck.  it may be worth it.  i insisted on staying with the flagyl until my stool test came up negative for it.  when i went on the abx for lyme for 18 mos. i had no problems so must have got it all.

what is the kefir grain implants.  does it really help the gut.  i often consider it was the c.diff that really put me over the top with the gut issues and created these 30 attacks i've had since.  contracted lyme so close to it, it is hard to tell what is doing what.  when i coil for candida my gut does better., i think it is more than just the llyme and cos.

marie, how can you do so many drops off mms and not have a horrible kerx?  i did 3 drop transdermal for 3 days in a row and was so sick had to totally stop for a while.  if i did that many drops as you did, i'd be dead.  do you not have a horrible herx?

barbara

Hi Barbara and Suzy,

When I had this kind of fever and close to death situation it  is the MMS life thereatenign protocol that took me out of it : MMS every hou and 10 drops +dmso on the skin every two hours

in 3 dasy I was ou tof danger .I do not know if it was c difficil or not .

hi Barbara,I had a very similar experience last fall with diarrhea, 105 fever, delirium, near death. the doc thought I had an ecoli infection, as it had started as a bladder infection. How did you treat the c difficil? I was given and took some serious anti-biotics. My gut continues to be a mess, and I'm contemplating trying out kefir grain implants, which Dom talks about on his kefir site, as helping him get over colitis. One more lab-rat adventure coming up!!!

Suzy

c difficil is a bacteria that can get into your gut and is kept under control until you take an abx.  about 20% of the population carries it at any time.

when you take an abx, it starts making you feel better for whatever you are taking it for, then about 4-5 days into it the gut disbiosis begins and the c. diff. flourish- opportunistic bug.  it is bad.  104 1/2 temp, diarrhea, nausea, dehydration, can't keep anything in or down.  you feel like you're dying, and may if not stopped.  usually people pick it up in the hospital.  don't know where i did.  passed through feces. that makes me feel creepy when i think of how i may have gotten it.

anyway, i had taken abx for a sinus infected (and feeling sick) while in s.d. and didn't want to fly back because the altitude can affect the pressure in the head with an infection.  so went to dr. there 2 days before i left.  when i got home was better then got really sick.  2 e.r. visits.  first one gave me fluids and sent me home, said it was the flu.  by the time i went again, 4 days later, was so sick couldn't stand up and they let me sit in the waiting room with that temp for 3 hrs.  ended up incoherent and had to take me back in a wheel chair.  dr. said he would stake his life on the fact that it was the flu.

i knew it was more and refused to go home because i knew i would be back, or not make it.. they kept me and called in an infectious disease dr who knew right away what it was.  guess my symptoms were classic--that of following an abx.

used flagyl for 3 wks., then after a couple days off started fever and sick again.  this went on for 8 months before it was gone.  following this time i began to get really chronically ill, beyond the fibro i had.  for a long time we thought it was the flagyl had caused permanent damage.  but as i look back, when i was in s.d., we had taken a day trip to mn.  i started feeling fluish that day.  it was odd because i don't get the flu.  then the head cold thing.

so, we think that the flu thing was actually lyme taking hold.  months before we had been clearing our land here, and if i contracted lyme then, the timing may be been right for that flu thing to have been lyme.  then the c. diff. followed, which really tears up your gut.  after that, gradually started on those crazy 30 minute attacks, got sicker and sicker with what i know now is lyme symptoms. so with a severely compromised immune system from the c.diff., the lyme had a really good start.  and it was down hill from there.

i understand that there is a more virulent strain of c. diff that is out now.  there are better abx for it now though.  which will make it a stronger strain later.  so if you hear of anyone with getting worse after a few days of abx treatment, with g.i. issues and high fever, suggest c.diff and get tested and treated right away.  i think if the e.r. dr knew what she should have know, the classic symptoms, not the flu, i would have been treated sooner and had less problems.

but that is c.diff.  really bad stuff.  so wash those veggies and fruit really good.  and don't touch you mouth after touching stuff in public.  ones gets a little paranoid after that, but lots of people are being more cautious now days.

barbara

Well Barbara, Flagyl does have side effects, including killing off the friendly bacteria. And LD can become immune to it. I think 8 months is far too long to be on any antibiotic, but most of the LLMD's prescribe that way. What is c.difficil? Khaya

Hi Barbara,

I imagine you might be right,,,that I have c. diff, and I'm hoping

that I can avoid needing to take more heavy medicines such as

flagyl. Did that give you a huge herx, besides killing off the bad

bugs in  your gut?

The kefir method, which cured Dom of his gut problems, uses implants

of milk or water kefir grains

rectally. Dom also used some herbs blended up with the grains, and a

diet of pretty much only brown rice for a period of time.

 http://users.chariot.net.au/~dna/IBD/index.htm

I'm doing a coffee enema every morning, and then after this,

implanting about a cup full of body temp kefir or some kefir grains

when I have them. I've just done this 3 times, and am getting quite

a herx. It seems to be addressing candida for one, as the die off

reaction reminds me of how I am when killing candida (spaciness and

fatigue, along with increased gas and achy body later on) The lyme

and co- infections give me such a buzzy nervous system, that this is

very different, and I actually slept almost 8 hours last night,,,a

record!!!! My stools are improving from completely runny to slightly

formed, so I think this is helping.

While I'm on the subject, I've be experimenting with putting other

herbs in with the CE. Because of my incredible insomnia and nervous

system buzz, I've been adding reishi, which has a nervous system

calming effect (known as the herb of spiritual potency, for it's

heart opening, calming energy), as well as being excellent for the

liver, heart and immune system. I can't take it by mouth without

experiencing a herx with so much full body pain, I just can't handle

it, but included in the CE, it is lots more gentle, and gives me a

calming soothing gentleness that is very welcome! I also tried

turmeric (another herb that I can't take via mouth due to its huge

insomnia buzz effect. This herb buzzed me rectally too, so I'm

sticking to Reishi, 4-5 glutathione drops, 6-7 drops of concentrace

minerals and the golden coffee recommended by the Gerson people,

which is much gentler on my body than regular instant or non instant

coffee, and doesn't spasm me quite so much.

take care,

Suzy

Hi Suzy and Marie,

suzy, you may have had c. diff.  sometimes they don't

always get it all and you may not know until you take

another abx.  you can still have some lingering bugs and

not know it if your good flora keeps it under control.  so

if you have to do any abx watch very carefully, for signs

of a relapse.  to make sure they got it all, you can have

then do another stool sample to ck.  it may be worth it.

i insisted on staying with the flagyl until my stool test

came up negative for it.  when i went on the abx for lyme

for 18 mos. i had no problems so must have got it all.

what is the kefir grain implants.  does it really help

the gut.  i often consider it was the c.diff that really

put me over the top with the gut issues and created these

30 attacks i've had since.  contracted lyme so close to

it, it is hard to tell what is doing what.  when i coil

for candida my gut does better., i think it is more than

just the llyme and cos.

marie, how can you do so many drops off mms and not

have a horrible kerx?  i did 3 drop transdermal for 3 days

in a row and was so sick had to totally stop for a while.

if i did that many drops as you did, i'd be dead.  do you

not have a horrible herx?

Hi Suzy,i was told by my llmd that saccharomyces boulardii (Sacro B) was known to kill c. difficile. i found by reading this link it is a yeast that will kill c. diff.  here is the link to wikapedia   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saccharomyces_boulardii  that has some really good info on this.  it also says that it is effective for ibs, crohns disease, and other diarrheas.  more info than i knew about it. being a yeast some might get nervous about it, but it says it stays in the g.i. area and doesn't spread anywhere else.  it was isolated from  lychee and mangosteen fruit in 1923  and some use it for a probiotic.  so if you are worried about the yeast part, you may want to do some more research.

i didn't have to use it when i went on the abx for lyme as i had gotten rid of all of it by then.  my husband has chronic diarrhea and said he might look into using it after reading this.

you have lots of info on the enema additives.  i'm going to look into these.  if i use coffee i really get a buzz as i use no caffeine at all.  i found some other herbs that may help with the c. diff. but i would try the sacro b first as my dr gave it a positive review, saying it was the only natural thing that would kill it.  it is a little pricey, so if you want to do other things there are lots of sites that discuss it.

let me know what you do and how it works.  just don't take too long because with our health issues, it will just continue to cause more problems, which you don't need.

For the skin DO NOT WAIT

To: Lyme_and_Rife Sent: Sunday, March 11, 2012 9:46 PMSubject: Re: Re: A Long Lyme Journey and Flagyl update

marie,

i think i did it right. mix the citric acid and mms, wait to activate 3 min. apply. then put dmso on and rub that in.

when i did this the first time, i used 3 drops. in that area, arms, i was in pain the next day. then it subsided. repeated it on legs and they hurt. next did the arms again and then they hurt. then i went into a total body herx. sick, pain, nausea, headache. it was a big herx. later tried again with just one drop and pain in that area. started a small herx. stopped at one drop until it was gone.

i now put it on occasionally if i'm up to a herx.

i used it in an enema once but didn't hold it in long enough. haven't tried it again as i feel the transdermal gets into my bloodstream quite well that way. so will keep working slowly on that area.

i would imagine with lyme in the tissues, it was killing the local lyme before it made it into the blood stream, if it made it at all, being used up by the local tissue bugs.

barbara

Hi Barbara,

I have horrble her orally but not dermally. Do you wait the 3mn after putting the lemon or not ?

We are nto supposed to wait at all immediatly put some DMSO and put it right away on the skin .

Subject: Re: Re: A Long Lyme Journey and Flagyl update

hi Barbara,I had a very similar experience last fall with diarrhea, 105 fever, delirium, near death. the doc thought I had an ecoli infection, as it had started as a bladder infection. How did you treat the c difficil? I was given and took some serious anti-biotics. My gut continues to be a mess, and I'm contemplating trying out kefir grain implants, which Dom talks about on his kefir site, as helping him get over colitis. One more lab-rat adventure coming up!!!Suzy

c difficil is a bacteria that can get into your gut and is kept under control until you take an abx. about 20% of the population carries it at any time.

when you take an abx, it starts making you feel better for whatever you are taking it for, then about 4-5 days into it the gut disbiosis begins and the c. diff. flourish- opportunistic bug.

Khaya

suzy, forgot to answer one of your ?s.  i don't remember a herx, but i was so very sick with the c. diff and at the time i didn't know what a herx was.  also, i'm not sure i had been infected with lyme yet.  had fibro for over 30 yrs at that time, llmd thought it might have been lyme, (when i saw a llmd 9 yrs after this) but not sure.  just remember feeling like dieing.

barbara

This herb buzzed me rectally too, so I'm

sticking to Reishi, 4-5 glutathione drops, 6-7 drops of concentrace

minerals and the golden coffee recommended by the Gerson people,

which is much gentler on my body than regular instant or non instant

coffee, and doesn't spasm me quite so much.

take care,

Suzy

Hi Suzy and Marie,

suzy, you may have had c. diff.  sometimes they don't

always get it all and you may not know until you take

another abx.  you can still have some lingering bugs and

not know it if your good flora keeps it under control.  so

if you have to do any abx watch very carefully, for signs

of a relapse.  to make sure they got it all, you can have

then do another stool sample to ck.  it may be worth it.

suzy, forgot to answer one of your ?s. i don't remember a herx, but i was so very sick with the c. diff and at the time i didn't know what a herx was. also, i'm not sure i had been infected with lyme yet. had fibro for over 30 yrs at that time, llmd thought it might have been lyme, (when i saw a llmd 9 yrs after this) but not sure. just remember feeling like dieing.

Hi Barbara,I imagine you might be right,,,that I have c. diff, and I'm hoping that I can avoid needing to take more heavy medicines such as flagyl. Did that give you a huge herx, besides killing off the bad bugs in your gut?The kefir method, which cured Dom of his gut problems, uses implants of milk or water kefir grains rectally. I've just done this 3 times, and am getting quite a herx. It seems to be addressing candida for one, as the die off reaction reminds me of how I am when killing candida (spaciness and fatigue, along with increased gas and achy body later on) The lyme and co- infections give

me such a buzzy nervous system, that this is very different, and I actually slept almost 8 hours last night,,,a record!!!! My stools are improving from completely runny to slightly formed, so I think this is helping. While I'm on the subject, I've be experimenting with putting other herbs in with the CE. Because of my incredible insomnia and nervous system buzz, I've been adding reishi, which has a nervous system calming effect (known as the herb of spiritual potency, for it's heart opening, calming energy), as well as being excellent for the liver, heart and immune system. I can't take it by mouth without experiencing a herx with so much full body pain, I just can't handle it, but included in the CE, it is lots more gentle, and gives me a calming soothing gentleness that is very welcome! I also tried turmeric (another herb that I can't take via mouth due to its huge insomnia buzz effect. This herb buzzed me rectally too, so I'm sticking to

Reishi, 4-5 glutathione drops, 6-7 drops of concentrace minerals and the golden coffee recommended by the Gerson people, which is much gentler on my body than regular instant or non instant coffee, and doesn't spasm me quite so much. take care,Suzy

With such an effective treatment protocol, 92%, nobody should suffer from

Hi Marie,

Let me know how it goes for you, if you decide to try it. I am

having a pretty good herx today from

implanting a couple of teaspoons of water kefir grains this morning

after my CE with reishi. All the kinds

of reactions I get when killing candida, and who knows, maybe the

kefirgrains are slaying some C diff or Lyme as well!

warmly,

Suzy

Dear Suzy,

This is very iteresting Thank you  i can try

it , beside the itching my be the result of the dye

off of yeast I ma experimenting I hope .

Hi Barbara,

I imagine you might be right,,,that I have c.

diff, and I'm hoping that I can avoid needing

to take more heavy medicines such as flagyl.

Did that give you a huge herx, besides killing

off the bad bugs in  your gut?

The kefir method, which cured Dom of his gut

grains

rectally. Dom also used some herbs blended up

with the grains, and a diet of pretty much

only brown rice for a period of time.

I'm doing a coffee enema every morning, and

then after this, implanting about a cup full

Hi Marie and Barbara,

Not sure if I understand this correctly or not, but are you talking about using

MMS transdermally activated with fresh squeezed lemon juice?

If so, this is the proper method:

For each 1 drop of MMS, add 5 drops of lemon juice, wait 3 minutes, then add

DMSO as apply immediately... I think you had this right Barbara...

If you don't allow the MMS and lemon juice to activate for 3 minutes, no

chlorine dioxide is unlocked and thus no benefit is derived.

Take care,

Jim

Hi Marie,

I've done so many diets that others have devised over the years,

that at this point I'm most drawn to following my own body's inner

guidance as

to what best nourishes and supports it. So I"m leaving out his diet

suggestions, and just trying out the

kefir grain implants for now. Last night, after doing my first

actual

kefir grain implant (using water kefir grains) I had such a strong

herx

and was up all night with a full body buzz. I finally got up at 3 am

and

came down to my CE cot, to see if a CE might help to detox the pain

and buzzyness from the kefir die off.

I'm still incredibly buzzy, but gratefully, there's now a lot less

pain in my back and hip.

So once again, I'm unsure how to proceed with helping my gut to come

into balance. Anytime I do probiotics (pills or

kefir or cultured veggies), I'm up all night with the biggest

fullbody buzz and pain all over. It doesn't matter how

small of an amount I take, even just a few drops gives me this

reaction. I've spent years

working my way up to taking 2 probiotic capsules each day, and that

was years of just about no

sleep ever.

suggested taking a few supplements to mop up the ammonia, and

this helps a little, but

not enough to stop the all night buzz. I've also tried clearing

myself for ammonia, using the red laser,

but that doesn't seem to be the answer either. wish I could just

knock myself out for a few months

until my gut was a little more clear of whatever it is that is

creating such an insomnia-buzz reaction!

warmly,

Suzy

THis is super interesting Thank you Suzy I

I have a confusion because of diffrent Dct

saying different things. One one side many says brown

HI Suzy ,

Sorry to hear you could not sleep . I knwo how it feels . When I had such a reaction I made a colonic and then I did it again but with a minute amount ramping up extremly slowly.

It worked . at a certain point I was able to increase more rapidly . I had the idea of making a computation as percentage of the previous dosage.

I do the same for the coil as I am forced to go very slowly. I increase by the percentage of the previous dosage increase for exemple I do this for the coil :

1 drop increase from 5 drops is much more increase than one drops increse from 10 seconds : one is 1/5 the other is 1/10 so from 10 .So as soon as I am at 10 seconds I will increase 2secodns by two seconds with exactly the same amount of herx safely. When I will get to 15 seconds I ramp up by 3 sedonds instread of 2 safely .

Just an idea

Hi Marie and Barbara,Not sure if I understand this correctly or not, but are you talking about using MMS transdermally activated with fresh squeezed lemon juice? If so, this is the proper method:For each 1 drop of MMS, add 5 drops of lemon juice, wait 3 minutes, then add DMSO as apply immediately... I think you had this right Barbara...If you don't allow the MMS and lemon juice to activate for 3 minutes, no chlorine dioxide is unlocked and thus no benefit is derived. Hi Marie,Let me know how it goes for you, if you decide to try it. I am having a pretty good herx today fromimplanting a couple of teaspoons of water kefir grains this morning after my CE with reishi. All the kindsof reactions I get when killing candida, and who knows, maybe the kefirgrains are slaying some C diff or Lyme as well!warmly,Suzy

Dear Suzy,

This is very iteresting Thank you i can try it , beside the itching my be the result of the dye off of yeast I ma experimenting I hope .

Dom also used some herbs blended up with the grains, and a diet of pretty much only brown rice for a period of time. http://users.chariot.net.au/~dna/IBD/index.htm I'm doing a coffee enema every morning, and then after this, implanting about a cup full of body temp kefir or some kefir grains when I have them.

Marie,

MMS is nothing more than liquid sodium chlorite, which is a light duty water

purifier...

If you do not activate MMS with a food acid, and for lemon juice it takes 3

minutes

to activate, then you have nothing more than sodium chlorite applied to your

skin

and this going inside of you is not going to kill many pathogens if any at all..

It is chlorine

dioxide that kills the pathogens, the only way you get chlorine dioxide is by

activating

the MMS with a food acid and again, with lemon juice you must activate for 3

minutes...

Take are,

Jim
