Guest guest
Hi Marie, Thanks a bunch for the email! Susie > > > > Hi everyone, > > > > I'd like to get the instructions on how to make the essaic tea & where to buy the ingredients. I'm unable to access the info through the files section without doing some sort of download & I'm not good at that stuff. I'd prefer if you could send it to my own email. Thanks. > > > > Susie > > >
Guest guest
, That's a very good idea. Do you preheat the crock pot before adding the tea or just add the tea & then turn it on to warm? I'm looking for a scale to measure the herbs. I want a small one but big enough to hold the herbs without them falling off. Do you just put the loose herbs on the scale? What size is your scale? Thanks for the tip. Susie > > > > Hi Jim, > > > > Thanks for the tea instructions. In the video on tea preparation, the guy turns off the stove & lets it sit for 12 hours. But your article says to keep it warm for 12 hours. I don't feel comfortable keeping the stove on overnight. Is it really necessary? Also, I've never bought on ebay. Can you just buy directly like any other site or do you have to know something special about it? I'm glad you sent me a link because I didn't know you could buy an already combined package of herbs. That will work out beter than buying them separately. Much appreciated! > > > > Susie > > >
Guest guest
Susie - Yes, I preheat the crock pot while the tea is boiling on the stove. I use an old food scale that I got from Weight Watchers. It has a bowl on top so it's really easy to measure loose things like herbs. I did a quick search on Amazon and found a few that are similar. Here's one that looks almost identical to the one I have. http://www.amazon.com/American-Weigh-Digital-Kitchen-Removable/dp/B002SVQHHY/ref\ =sr_1_18?m=ATVPDKIKX0DER & s=kitchen & ie=UTF8 & qid=1331861597 & sr=1-18 Hope that link works! > > > > > > Hi Jim, > > > > > > Thanks for the tea instructions. Guest guest
, Very good. Now I know that part of the tea-making process. Thanks for the link for the scale & your helpful info! Guest guest
Hi Susie, This is the exact scale I use! http://www.ebay.com/itm/300g-x-0-01g-Mini-Digital-Jewelry-Pocket-GRAM-Scale-LCD-\ /370546703910?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0 & hash=item56464dfe26#ht_1878wt_1279 I place a small plastic cup on the scale, hit the " TARE " button then add my herbs into the cup.. Simple! Take care, Jim > > > > > > Hi Jim, > > > > > > Thanks for the tea instructions. In the video on tea preparation, the guy turns off the stove & lets it sit for 12 hours. Guest guest
Jim, What does the TARE button do, subtract the weight of the plastic cup after you add the herbs? OK, I have a dumb question. If 1 oz. of dry herbs make 1 quart of liquid concentrate, can't I just measure out 2 tbsps. of dry herbs instead of using a scale? 2 tbsps. = 1 ounce. Unfortunately I already ordered a scale before I realized I could just use my measuring spoon. When do you have the need to use a wooden spoon in the tea preparation? Can a stainless steel spoon be used instead? I ordered my 1 lb. essiac blend organic. What do I store in & where do I store the remaining herbs til the next time? Thanks for the help.
