Guest guest
Hi , In one word - NOPE! All testing for Lyme and the co's can give false results and unfortunately for some with a negative test, they will be sent home without treatments... This is really very common... Take care, Jim > > I know the tests for Lyme are horrible, unreliable, ect. But what are the tests for Bart and Babesia. Any better ???? Guest guest
Hi , There is some good news! Everyone in the medical community that has a good understanding about Lyme disease knows the Lyme and coinfection tests can give faulty answers, they often can not be trusted, this by no means is a secret! What is scary are the doctors who don't know these tests can give faulty results and strictly abide by the results... Many with negative Lyme tests have been sent home with treatment even though they have Lyme symptoms. So, there are researchers working on new tests that will actually be able to properly diagnose these diseases.. There are a few good new ones already out for Lyme, but now they have to be accepted by the medical community, more specifically doctors who will have to read these tests.. I presume LLMDs will take the lead on this... But there is also some not so good news... :-(((( Waiting for things to happen in the medical community that will benefit Lyme is much worse than watching paint dry... It almost seems like everything is stopped, nothing is happening and we just wait... But with so many with these diseases, it really is just a matter of time... There is a lot of profit to be made from Lyme, once someone figures out a part of the puzzle, they will get their share of the profits and Lymies will benefit.. I have learned to become very patient when it comes to Lyme.. I keep telling myself, all in good time... And I do believe this. I will copy a few links to symptom lists... These are really the best way to determine if you have coinfections or not, well I should say which ones you have as everyone today seems to have a least one of the co's.. I will also post a Lyme symptom list... Good LLMDs actually use symptoms as a leading indicator to determine if a disease is present, they know all to well not to trust test results.. Coinfecions: http://www.lymeinfo.net/coinfectionarticle.html Lyme Disease: http://www.canlyme.com/patsymptoms.html I feel it is always better if a Lyme expert (LLMD) dx's via symptoms, but these lists will give you a good idea of what you may be dealing with... ALSO, if you are Coiling or rifing, using disease specific frx's and getting a hit on them is also a good indication... Take care, Jim > > > > I know the tests for Lyme are horrible, unreliable, ect. Guest guest
IgeneX is considered the better for Lyme, probably about the same as other labs for the coinfections...
