There has been a lot of posting and some of you coilers may have missed this

question that I posted. For all of you who have a coil machine, I believe this

is important information to have, because I certainly did not know anything

about the multimeter on my coil machine. I have had my machine for almost 4

years and about 6 months ago the multimeter started acting up. It would just

scan numbers when I would turn up the ampl knob to it's usual place. It turns

out the multimeter has a battery. I was not informed of this when I bought my

coil machine. The longer I have this machine the more I am learning about it.

I had the lights totally go out on my amplifier once and though there was no

fuse in the back of the amp, it turned out that it was inside of the amp. My

son who has been rebuilding laptops and computers for years took the top off of

my amp and discovered two blown fuses. We replaced them and it started working

again. Anyway, before you panic if you have either one of these problems occur,

it is solvable.

scanning numbers when I try to set it. It will just scan from 12-13 and never

settles in on a number. I noticed that the left channel yellow light on the

amplifier when turned all the way up will sometimes flash and then other times

it works fine. The problem seems to be kind of intermittent. Sometimes it will

work fine while other times it doesn't. Do any of you have any ideas on this as

to what my be causing it? Can a fuse go partly bad? I have checked all of the

connections and nothing seems to be loose. Could it be a setting of some sort

that might have accidently been changed on the frequency generator?
