Guest guest
Hi Jodie, I had severe chemical sensitivity. My worst sensitivity was Hydrocarbons and fuels and plastics. I would do NAET treatments on myself on these things but the treatment would not last more then a few months. I started realizing that there was probably an emotional component to these things that was not letting me release the allergy for good. I took EFT classes and started exploring the possibility that perhaps some emotional event was behind these allergies and if I could tap into it, I would have better success at permanently eliminating these allergies. My allergy to plastic was so bad that it would cause horrible foot pain every time I wore shoes due to the amount of plastic used in them. I looked for shoes free of plastic and could not find any so went barefoot whenever I could which also posed problems because my floors are varnished wood floors and the varnish is polyurethane, the tiles in my kitchen were vinyl and even sitting on my couch which is stuffed with polyesther would cause severe pain. As crazy as this may sound, I resorted to sleeping on a wool area rug on a carpeted floor sometimes when the polyesther stuffing in my mattress would cause leg pain preventing me from sleeping. Memory foam was especially problematic and is highly toxic as it never quits outgassing. I switched to all organic cotton bedding and would buy an organic all cotton mattress if I could afford it. The curiousity was that the pain would migrate around my legs, sometimes it would be in the thigh and other times it would be in the shin. In my EFT certification classes, my instructor mentioned that if pain migrates around in your body when you are tapping on the issue, then it has an emotional component. I often felt like I was chasing the pain in my legs from one place to another. As I explored further the relationship between the plastic allergy and my pain which would go away when I did a NAET treatment, I realized that perhaps these issue might be due to a bad car accident that I was in. I was lucky to come out alive. I started doing EFT on this issue as well as a few other issues such as being a child captive in my parents car driving somewhere while listening to my parents fight. I tapped on every emotional issue that came up surrounding cars and plastics/ vinyl car seats. I kept tapping until on a scale of 1-10, the trauma came up as a zero. I did this for a few months whenever I thought about it. I eventually cleared plastics and exhaust and have not had a sensitivity to it for over two years now and the pain in my legs and feet are totally gone once and for all. This shows how much our emotions are involved in pain in our body and our health. I did have a Methylation test run which determined that I am lacking the S.O.D. gene which detoxes cars exhaust, cigarette smoke and plastics. So I do a lot of glutathione in my coffee enemas to help detox this stuff in an attempt to bypass the mutation issue. My point is that PTSD responds very well to EFT. You can download a free ebook on the web if you google free EFT ebook. Also, YouTube has a lot of EFT videos that you can tap along with. I would look up ones specific to phobias or PTSD. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi, > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Dr. Alan Mac was interviewed in the documentary " Under Our > > > > > Skin " regarding Lyme. Guest guest
, thanks for sharing your story! It makes sense to me! A year ago I probably wouldn't have given it much thought, but after doing lots of research, and seeing my son's journey with the homeopathy, I have a much greater respect for energetic healing. After 3 months of lots of adjustments in diet, supplements and some light QT work I have finally got my body into a healing mode! Whew! I am very intrigued by the effects and power of the energy work, that we will most likely have some done with our son! I have learned a great deal from your posts about energy work and your healing journey! Hopefully you don't become too scarce here, as its great to have input from many angles. OH...I have figured out how to do simple muscle testing, using the sway method..One of the simplest forms...but it is working rather nicely! Guest guest
Jodie, yes, the physical mixed with all the emotional can really put you over the limit of ability to cope. something has to give. so sorry.i don't know what wyatt's understanding and ability to communicate his feelings are. what is his age? i know with my kids, being raised with a, how shall i put this delicately? ok, jerk of a dad who did emotional damage to all of us. there, got it out. anyway, i learned that kids often 'stuff' feelings. usually because it was scary and they don't know what to do with it. but the feelings are there, and as with trauma with us, if not able to work the issues through, that stress can cause physical damage. look at us and the way stress in our lives have made us more susceptible to disease. kids are the same, but they often don't know how to vocalize it. my kids started healing when i got them some good counseling during the divorce. they learned to talk to each other about what happened in our family. they shared their fears, disappointments, anger, all the feelings that they thought just themselves felt. they realized each felt the same way and it helped with the healing. they realized it wasn't just in their own minds, where it can often be distorted, creating more/worse fears. my middle daughter went through some hard times in childhood. and being the personality she is, she kept it all in, trying to make everything work. i did not know she was still stuffing some things. now, at age 35, she is having to deal with that stuffed stuff from back there. recently, she told me some things about what she remembered, but she remembered it wrong, as children often do. i explained how some things really happened and she was surprised. but the damage was done because i/she never talked about it. she remembered the worse version, then over the years distorted it, affecting her in a more damaging way. they say people who talk about their surgeries actually heal faster than those who don't. talking helps us deal with and resolve fear, especially when others listen and validate those feelings. we do that very thing here on this forum. supporting and validating each other does help us cope with our illness and fears. wyatt is feeling the trauma, over and over again. it is surfacing in his fear of the trees, wind, going outside, falling down. the fear and memory is very vivid for him. i think the most important thing for a child who has gone through trauma is to encourage him to talk about the fear in a safe place. the adult can say, just casually, maybe even talking to your mom. 'i remember that storm. yes, that was scary. i was scared too. wyatt, were you scared? (let him talk) then " but look, we are fine now. that was a storm, and the storm is gone now.' let it come up now and then, like no big deal, until he is comfortable with it. also, to desensitize the fears, take him for a walk among trees. progress to taller trees and talk about the trees. take a walk in the trees with the wind blowing. talk about the wind and the trees. talk about storms. talk about storms and trees. encourage him to talk about these things also. do it slowly and he will adjust and start opening up as he sees you ok in those 'scary' situations, as he remembers it. talk about being ok in the trees and the wind or the storm. validating wyatt's experience and fears, letting him talk about it and share, get it out, and then you sharing how you felt/feel, lets him know that he is not alone. that his fear isn't in that deep dark corner (of his mind) that can jump out and get him again. 'gee, mom was scared too, but she is ok. so is grandma no big deal.' also, when he feels safe with the subject, he will feel safe, and the world will be safe again. when a subject isn't talked about, sometimes kids feel there is something fearful with it. kids are very resilient and will bounce back once issues/fears are out in the open. it seems to settle in their minds, just like us. jodies, he feels all this. it's the boogie man in the closet thing. if you open all the closets, look under the bed, talk about the boogie man. the fear will be dissipated. otherwise, left to his growing imagination, the fear may escalate. i don't mean to overstep your boundaries here with your child. you know best for him. i just wanted to share what i learned about this, how i handled, and mishandled, some of my own kids' trauma as they were growing up. i understand about your mom-and she is still young. she can have another 30+ yrs. that's a lot of yrs. my mom does the same thing. she wants me to get well, but won't do anything to make any changes in her life. i don't know if it's fear of change (she's been sick a long time), feeling somewhere deep inside she doesn't deserve to get better or that she lives in denial and doesn't believe she isn't as well as she could be. i know i read what many said about mold and thought 'not me'. then i started thinking about possible mold in my background. now i have to look into it. and it will require one more thing to do. yukk. it would have been easier to deny it. unfortunately, by denying it, it doesn't go away. if only. maybe our moms feel a little of each. who knows, but as you said, it is their lives. they have to choose. my husband has severe osteo arthritis, every where. he just had to have his knee replaced and probably the other in a couple yrs. well, with all that is wrong with me, with many of these bugs being sexually transmitted, who know who gave what to whom. she is really showing some neuro signs lately that he never had. his memory, concentration, hearing, and ability to cope and process things is rapidly decreasing. i've tried to talk to him about this and ask if he wanted to start treating 'something. no. i don't know if he thinks it won't work because i have struggled so long, the abx for both of us didn't work so why try, i don't think there is anything wrong with me-denial. but he doesn't like to talk about it. not much i can do. very frustrating, all of this, isn't it. but if we didn't have this stuff, there would be some other stuff, as none of us gets through life escaping some really hard stuff. it's what we do with it that defines who we are. barbara Barbara, I forgot to add I had a " tough " miscarriage 6 months previous to all the " other " crap as well. That did a number on my health condition. Anyways Wyatt is very afraid of pine trees! The entire summer Wyatt refused to play outside in our yard. He would scream, panic and run for cover. We did have the trees removed but he is still leery of wind and large trees. So, I guess the answer is probably yes. We don't bring it up...it was so traumatizing for him. Also, if he bumps his knee or falls or trips he overreacts and goes into panic mode too. He thinks he broke something again! It is an issue and we may try some energetic work with him and see if it can heal the trauma associated with it. I am glad you brought that up....because you got my " lyme brain " thinking! Maybe with some work we can get him over his trauma! My mom is my best friend! It def. kills me to see her so afraid to treat! She says she doesn't want to stir anything up! She has seen the difficulties and issues I have had over the past year and it scares her! She is my rock and wants me to heal and be well and tells me I have to go through it....but won't do anything herself. Tough! My mom just turned 58.....and is still young in my opinion, it really pisses me off! (sorry). Anyways, I guess I have to learn to accept her wishes. Guest guest
Jodie My daughter had a scary experience when she was 10 years old. She was out in woods near a friends house picking berries, the wind came up and a tree split in half one part of it falling on her.She spend a summer with two broken ankles a broken leg and fractured collarbone and arm broken at the growth plateShe had been an avid tree climber before this and she was afraid of them for a while a long while. After many years, since she is a nature lover, she decided that her fear was "silly or stupid and she went back to climbing trees, because itwas something she had always loved doing.OOf course over the years I helped her along, because we would go apple picking near the end of the season and the "best apples were always at the tops of the trees. Our usual routine was, she would shimmy up a branch . grab and apple, hand it down to her sister who would be in the Y of the tree and her sister would hand the apple to me.It took some encouragement to get her back into the apple tree but eventually her love of nature won out.It takes time and a little behavioral conditioning to make it happen.hugs and good luck Re: Falling trees was: OT: Heston, Reagan, and Asymptomatic Lyme Posted by: "Barbara Pierce" gmaoceans@... gmaoceans Date: Wed Mar 21, 2012 8:49 pm ((PDT))Jodie, yes, the physical mixed with all the emotional can really put you over thelimit of ability to cope. something has to give. so sorry.i don't know what wyatt's understanding and ability to communicate hisfeelings are. what is his age?"Im not trying to counsel any of you to do anything really special, except to dare to think, and to dare to go with the truth ,and to dare to love completely." -R. Guest guest
Hi Barbara, AWWW u stepped on my toes Just kidding! Their is a lot of truth in what you wrote! I have my share of childhood baggage with abuse etc. and I know the path you are talking about very clearly! I am sorry your family had to go through what you did! The coping mechanisms we used as children helped get us through the trauma but most often those coping mechanisms that are ingrained in us later as adults, often are very hindering to living a more fulfilled life! I hope that makes sense? It's good for your daughter and you to have talked about your past situation, but I am still sorry You are right though.....if we weren't dealing with the crap we have now.....it would be a whole other set of issues I am glad you stay positive! Wyatt is 6.5 years old now. He has a very high level of understanding, very vocal and communicates very well....extremely bright! He's very small for his age 40lbs max.(?)short, socially/emotionally very young and sensitive little guy! He's been through a lot for such a young age! He's come a long ways but clearly has more to go! First vaccine damage and now after almost 2 years of homeopathy the lyme....(specifically bart.) is rearing it's ugly head. It is a difficult journey...but it's our journey. Guest guest
Thanks Jan! Wow.....that had to be a bit scary for you too! I am glad she acclimated and re-adjusted...but could not have been an easy thing to go through! Makes me cringe the thought of it! We take wyatt to the park, it usually helps to get his mind off of things when he sees the other kids. It wasn't an overnight process but his Post trauma symptoms are not as severe as they were. I like to play around and have fun..(tease) but I think I made a big mistake You didn't hurt my feelings at all! I consider you a great friend.....and I appreciate what you share! I think I should maybe be a bit careful....I don't want anyone to take me the wrong way No offense was taking in the least bit. Hope that clears things up I didn't know Wyatt had lyme or bart either. But he has been showing very clear signs for the past 6 +++ months that I clearly can't ignore or put off on any other pathogen when his symptoms are identical to my own. We have taken a break from the homeopathic clears too...as his immune system is def. a bit bogged down. He has broken red feet, persistent gut issues and constipation that has gotten worse, headaches, dizziness etc. It probably explains his poor growth as well. Whoo knows.. Guest guest
Barbara, I forgot to add....I think I am doing a bit better I still rollercoaster....in my treatment...which I think is normal! I have my ups and downs but I am learning to ride the waves and know they will pass. If I push too hard and have too harsh a reaction I just back down! I have gained strength too....! I am def. more upbeat and more typical of the " jodie " that I used to be....so maybe that's why I was in a " teasing " mood! My head ...is where I notice a lot of improvement...which is a good thing! I actually have " hope " and don't feel all doom and gloom. So we will see how it goes! Thanks ....for noticing! Guest guest
Jim, I was extremely worried about " ME " as well. Bart.and babs can be aggressive (as you know!) and with out anything directly targeting it...my body was struggling very badly! I had a big dive right around Christmas that really scared me.....most likely the bart./and the babs got a bit worse Well...if you believe in muscle testing...they both are dominating ...push down one....the other pops up right behind it. You are a lucky guy for not having either of those infections! It's like you had said to me many times....Use a coil or something that directly targets the " bart or babs " and use the MMS to mop up the rest! If I hadn't been using the mms at all it would have been over very fast. Guest guest
Thanks.....looks like " little guy " has a lot of bart. symptoms as well. Just when you think you have gotten ahead...another challenge expectantly pops up! But if it wasn't for this group and everything I have learned here I wouldn't have probably recognized the signs and symptoms either. So that is a good thing for sure! Guest guest
Hi Jodie L, For a while there, about 4 months ago, so about Christmas time, I noticed the " happy " you wasn't around, you seemed very quiet and more serious.. I do understand about the co's, I am fortune to just have Lyme at least so far... I know they only make things more complicated. Well, I am glad the " happy " you is back, do not leave again!! Now that you are on my " funnies' group, it will hopefully pick you up on your down days, it really does for me!! Take care, Jim > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi, > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Dr. Alan Mac was interviewed in the documentary > > > > > > " Under > > > > > > > > > Our > > > > > > > > > > > > > Skin " regarding Lyme.
