Guest guest
Hi Terry, All toxin binders, including Glucomannan should be taken away from food, meds and supps... Otherwise these things will bind to the toxin binder. I would think olive oil will bind to Glucomannan an be less effective as a toxin binder. Also, it is not wise to drink plenty of water before meals or with meals... We need as little liquid as possible as liquids dilute stomach acid and thus interfere with digestion, especially meats and other proteins. Take care, Jim > > Tara, > > We use Glucomannnan . We follow the directions on the label. I have noticed that these instructions can vary greatly. What seems to work the best for us is to take 2000 Mg 3x day before meals. This is the recommended dose for weight loss. We also take 1 tbs of olive oil 2-3 minutes prior to each dose. Make sure you take it with plenty of water. There have been times where each one of us have forgotten or just couldn’t get a dose. Let me tell you for us there is a very noticeable difference in the herx. > > Terry > > From: Marie Benoit > Sent: Saturday, March 10, 2012 6:52 PM > To: Lyme_and_Rife > Subject: Re: Coiling and dexoxing questions > > > > Hi Tara welcome, > Looks like you do very well. Some background: My husband, Jim, was diagnosed w/Lyme last August. We think he'd had it about 5 mos at that time. I did a lot of research and ordered a Doug Coil from Stolar. We got it in Jan., days before left on his trip, and I don't believe anyone has been in touch with him or been able to reach him since. I found Terry and on the Lyme_rife group and they helped me through using the machine--lots of thanks to both of them. > > In '09 I had had a Lyme AB screen that came back 1.37, with both 41 bands positive on the WB, but was told that was a negative result. Now that I know a LOT more than I did then, I now recognize that I've had a lot of Lyme symptoms for years, and tried the coil on 432 for :15 sec and had a definite herx. I had used it every 7 days for about 6 weeks, adding :15 per session, when I started getting very small red spots on my shins, and someone told me it was Bart. I coiled for Bart. (832) and had a very strong herx. I had tried :15 on 832 the week we got the machine with no reaction whatsoever, but apparently Lyme was keeping it in check, and now it's making its presence known. > > Jim and I are coiling for Lyme every 7 days, adding :15 per session (abdomen only), and I have started coiling for Bart. every day, :15 for about 5 days, then :20, :30, :40 - WHOOAAA--TOO MUCH! Backed off to :20. Jim was coiling with me for Bart. but stopped as he's not having any herx reactions. We've not been tested for co-infections, but I hear the tests are not very reliable so we're using our herx reactions as a diagnostic tool. Although Jim tested positive on the WB with band 23, he is not having any noticeable herxes from the coil, other than possibly more fatigue the next day or two. He was bitten by another tick in Feb. and has just finished 4 weeks of Doxy, so it's possible that that's why he's not having much reaction to coiling. I'd be very interested to here others' opinions on that. I'm afraid that since he's been building up his time on with the coil and is now going off the Abx, that at some point he's going to have a big herx... > > I want to keep coiling for Lyme, even briefly, while I'm coiling for Bart. Should I do both sessions together when it's a Lyme day, or should I do one in the AM and one in the PM? > > We're taking a nano form of Chlorella, Detox ND, 1/4 t. AM and PM, and when we coil we take 1/2 t. 30 min. before. Jim has Welchol and I have Glucommanan. Can someone recommend when and how much to take of each of these? I'm thinking that we should take them 2-3 times/day, but I'm not sure when relative to meals, and if we should also be taking them around coiling time. Is there some additional detox protocol we should be following? > > Thanks in advance for any information! > > Tara >
Guest guest
Jim, Agreed. We space the Glucomannan out at least 30 mins prior to eating as described on the label. As far as the olive oil binding to the Gluc. it would stand to reason, however did say that it worked well and the whole process is working for us. Whether or not the Gluc. would be more effective without it remains to be seen. Guest guest
I think the point of the oil(fish oil is sometimes recommended) is to stimulate the secretion of bile. The bile sequestrant(CSM etc. ), then binds the bile along with toxins and they are excreted. Sue
