Guest guest
That's very interesting, ! My husband and I both have early-stage cataracts, and he has just been diagnosed with borderline glaucoma. We both take lipoic acid and silphatrin to support our liver. Over the years I have done several liver flushes, since when I was first diagnosed in 2000, my skin was quite yellow. But now I am using a Thorne product called Mediclear Plus. There are several versions of this by various manufacturers, including one from Dr.B. But I prefer this one because it is totally unsweetened. Basically, they all are mainly rice protein (this one is sprouted brown rice protein), with vitamins, minerals and herbs to support the whole body, including the liver. You are supposed to make a " smoothie " , using a whole scoop, each day for a prolonged period. But I found a whole scoop was too much for me, so I use a coffee measure, which is about 2/3 scoop. I use it once every four days, and then daily for 6 days each month. So it is detoxing my liver very slowly. But I'm not taking it constantly at the full moon, when I am likely to be taking antibiotics or rifing frequently. I soak an ounce of almonds the night before, then put powder in my Vitamix with the drained almonds, some granny smith apple, a piece of lemon and a piece of ginger, plus water. I like to let it sit at least 15 minutes before I blend it, and I found it quite tasty. It has turmeric in it, and I feel quite good after drinking it, usually as a replacement for lunch, and then have a more substantial afternoon snack then usual. I have to skip the calcium/magnisium that I usually take with lunch, but other than that, Dr.B. said the other supplements in it are fine with my usual protocol. Mediclear Plus is somewhat expensive--I pay $44 for about 32 ounces. But the other similar products are also quite pricey, and I really appreciate that there is no added sweetener or " berry " flavor. And one huge bottle lasts me 3 or 4 months, although it would be used up a lot quicker if I used the recommended dose. Khaya > > some info I found on the internet. > > How To Improve Your Eyesight ? Guest guest
You're welcome. But I have one correction: we take Silphatrin for ammonia. Silymarin (Milk Thistle) is for the liver.
