Guest guest
, When you finished keeping the tea warm overnight in the crockpot, in the morning did you have the same amount you started with? I did mine on the stove on an elec. burner all day just on warm, at the end of the time, I only had 1/2 the fluid left. I was drinking it all week and was getting horrible headaches, and JimJax said I should've added water back, because it became very concentrated. I also am uncomfortable leaving the stove on all night. When I make Essiac tea, I boil it on the stove as directed. Then I transfer the brew to a crock pot, which I leave on Warm overnight. In the morning, I pour the tea back into the stainless steel pot from the night before and finish the process. This leaves me with an extra pot to wash, but I'd rather have the crock pot, not the stove, on during the night. I figure it uses less electricity, too. The tea seems to turn out fine. Just an idea for you... > > Hi Jim, > > Thanks for the tea instructions. In the video on tea preparation, the guy turns off the stove & lets it sit for 12 hours. But your article says to keep it warm for 12 hours. I don't feel comfortable keeping the stove on overnight. Is it really necessary? Also, I've never bought on ebay. Can you just buy directly like any other site or do you have to know something special about it? I'm glad you sent me a link because I didn't know you could buy an already combined package of herbs. That will work out beter than buying them separately.
