Hey Bill,

When your son is on immunovir, does he continue to take one of the antivirals

and antifungals?  Is immunovir typically taken when you only have low NKs?  Does

Dr G check NK activity yet if the NKs are in normal range?  (My oldest who is

doing so well - his NKs are in the normal percentile, but my youngest and mine

are 3% & 2% respectively.)  But I think I've read you can have the normal # of

cells and still have poor activity, so I was just wondering what pattern he

looks for to decide if it will benefit.

I'm curious if immunovir would bring down chronically high ASO titers?  I wonder

if NKs indirectly affect ASO by downregulating it if the NKs increase.

TIA

Connors has low NK cells. today we went for blood work and we regularly do

immune panels and the results go to both Dr G and Dr K. I will watch the NK

count and ask Dr K/Dr G. about activity issues and get back with you in a week.

(Dr K has been using imunovir for several years with CFS clients and will know

the relationship off the top of her head)

Connor is on Antivirals. Acyclovir seems to be working for us with counts down

to 10:40. (before immunovir). ASO were down to near normal range as well after

2.0 yrs on Eyriped.

The relationship between Imunovir and the antivirals seem to work on two

different pathways in that we still went though die off after starting imunovir

both times (ran out after1.5 months and restarted in Jan after 3 weeks waiting

foe meds from Canada) What was interesting was that we still had die off

although HHV6 was already down, two or three viral issues?) don't know!!

I have high ASO titers as well and am on Ery-Ped. Is that off and on for two

years or constant? Also, after about a week or son on Famvir, I had a couple of

weeks of die off. I thought maybe it was the HHV6 and the EBV combined that made

it longer than what my sons experienced.

I spoke with Dr K and she tells me that activation is the wrong terminology in

regard to T cells and Imunovir. The viruses themselves turn on or activate the t

cells but imunovir improves their function.

In regard to numbers the imunovir will normalize the numbers either way. If a

person has to high a count imunivor will lower the count. If a person has to low

a number it will raise the count. Again normalize the t cell numbers either way.

Thank you for the info.  I'm pretty curious about it.  I haven't done the

reading on the web on it, but I think I will.  I'd have to really have a good

foundation of 'faith' from reading before I can commit to the expense for two of

us, I think, assuming our doctor would use it if we asked.
