Guest guest
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Hi Zeta. Thanks for posting. I think it is important to hear the negative reports as well as the positive ones. Donna Therapy? I think that this is " bullshit " . Few months ago my bf suggested me to do this therapy to as a " simple " way to lose weight... And after 12 colonics in 3 weeks i have more 4kgs. And i didn't realized something good because of this therapy. I just was exhausted after this procedure for nothing. I have to warn you. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I have to agree that the negative should be posted too. However, the reason for letting this post through was to see if anyone would note that there is absolutely no explanation regarding what it is being of which we are being warned about. If it's colonics as a weight loss system, I will have to note that colonics is not a weight lost system!!! Its part in a weight loss program is in its stimulating of the liver an gallbladder and clearing of the colon of other matter that may be stagnant. The fact that the person is exhausted means it was doing some really strong exercising of the colon. I can certainly appreciate what was noted regarding that fact, as I too feel really fatigued because of the way a colonic exercises the colon and liver. It is like running a mile or two. I'm just fortunate enought to be getting a boost by getting ozone as part of the treatments I get. This consentrated oxygen supply helps a lot with the fatigue one might feel as well as helps the organs that are connected by the portal veins get a rich supply of oxygen. What is missing in this post is just what other weight loss processes where in force while doing the colonics. We don't have a clue as to what this person was eating during that time period and whether there was an exercise program too. Fat will not simply burn off without activity or without making the body's fat burning system function by eating the right types of foods. This is a serious necessity to any weight or reshaping program. Colonics can help the process but it is not a weight loss program or process by itself. I would request that this person repost with a more definative explaination of just what we are being warned about. Dale
Guest guest
J & C: Hippotherapy is physical therapy as part of horseback riding. Our son Bryce (age 5, brilliant, funny, quite handsome, type 3) has been active with horseback riding for almost 2 years now - he loves it & is becoming fairly proficient at the young age of 5. His favorite part of the riding lessons is when they get to trot or go fast with the horse. He'll be participating in his 2nd large horse show (weeklong event called the Merril Lynch Hunter Jumper Classic - in Chagrin Falls, Ohio - riders from all over North America participate) - in a few weeks. I highly recommend this activity - for ambulatory or non-ambulatory - most therapeutic riding centers offer both horseback riding and cart riding - for those using wheelchairs. Aquatic therapy is fantastic as well - though we don't have this sort of therapy per say, Bryce & his younger sister is (age 3) have both been swimming since they turned 1 year old. My wife started both children in survival swimming classes at young ages, and now, both kids are great little swimmers. Bryce swims better than 99% of the kids his age - SMA or not. But they love it - just back-floating and the ability to do things in water you can't on dry land are great - and fun for everyone. Can't make any suggestions for your area - but I'm sure there are many options. Good luck. Guest guest
I don't know about this behavior specifically nor the fih oil. I am posting this response so that others who are more schooled will chime in on its relevance (or irrelevance). There is no set recipe for fish oil. Many on this board found a solid combo, yes. One mom I know on the board discovered accidentally that her child responded better to a different combo. I can't state the combo as I can't recall but it involves more omega 3 and less 6. I think she said after the fact it very well may be that the child gets enough 6 in diet that he needs more 3 to balance him out. So, take a look at diet, take a look at supplements and take a look at what you are doing when you see your child do more of this. We notice, for example, when we have too much going on my daughter sucks her thumb. Just her coping thing I guess. That happens regardless of anything else, diet, etc. Only when too much is going on. Your answer may be simple... the only real reason I am posting. Good luck! > > Good Evening, > > I am in need of some help. My daughter is still touching her classmates. She stopped for a while but it has started again. I increased her supplements to 3 EFA and 1 EPA, 1 Vit. E in the morning and 3 EFA, 1 EPA, 1 Gamma Vit.E in the evening. We took her off the supplements and her behavior was terrible. She has SLP, OT and PT should we add some type of behavior therapy to her schedule? Should we change her supplements? I need some help, please please. IF someone has experienced this behavior and turned it around, please feel free to email me with any and all suggestions. I just want my daughter to have a successful school year. I thank you in advance for all of your help. > > Bonnye - Faith's mommy > > > --------------------------------- > Be a better sports nut! Guest guest
I hear a lot about what therapies Dr. G doesn't agree with, just curious about if there are therapies he does agree with?
